Meron Exalted and Petrifying

HH the whole world has now heard about Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai and his special day of Lag BuOmer. It seems like such a terrible way of publicity, and in fact many all around the globe are mocking, using this tragedy as an indication that Gd forbid there is no special power and authority by Rabbi Shimon. CNN tried to bait Shlomo Katz to anger and hate, and BH he just gave them love and heart. But what is the message, how or why in fact would Rabbi Shimon have such a thing happen on his hillula - special day?

The Torah tells us about the hillula - special day of inauguration of the Temple, one of the most important events in the history of the world, and on this day two of the most holy righteous had their souls extinguished in the Holy of Holies. Moshe Rabbainu explained from HY the why, and here it is explained by Rashi (Leviticus 10:3)

ועל פני כל העם אכבד AND BEFORE ALL THE PEOPLE I WILL BE HONOURED — When the Holy One, blessed be He, executes judgment upon the righteous He becomes feared, and exalted and praised. If this be so in the case of these (when He judges the righteous) how much more is it so in the case of the wicked (i. e. when He punishes the wicked)! And in a similar sense it says (Psalms 68:36) "Thou art feared, O god, ממקדשיך". Read not here מִמִּקְדָשֶׁיךָ, "from out of Thy sanctuaries", but ‎ ‏ מִמִּקֻדָּשֶׁיךָ"because of Thy sanctified ones" (Zevachim 115b).

The tragedy took place specifically in such a holy time and place and specifically targeted holy souls who led very sheltered observant lives. Their perishing is a huge collosal cry to the entire world - beware! If HY will go ahead and take 45 holy souls in the midst of such a holy celebration, than be very aware of the destiny of those who are not living holy. There is great craziness in the world now with all types of progressive agendas, those who are the first to mock this tragedy (unbelievably I have read people preaching from here not to push others, which besides being despicably out of taste, it is completely wrong because there was no pushing or stampeding like many are trying to push, people fell from water or oil on the smooth floor, and the police blocked the exit), perhaps even still the true message and import will penetrate, and they will take stock of where they are heading.
