A
king once had a special crown made for the love of his life –
adorned with priceless huge diamonds and gems, and when she put it
on, one of the diamonds pressed very painfully into her skull, what
to do? She wasn't about to get rid of the diamond. So she went out
consulting, and everyone was at a loss how it was at all possible
that the King's jeweler would design such a faulty crown. Eventually
someone examined her head and determined that she had a tumor growing
in that spot which was pushing up against the diamond, and
immediately she had the life-threatening tumor removed, and then the
diamond fit snugly and comfortably.
This
is an embellished version of a parable Rabbainu revealed in his
Likutay Moharan, end of Torah 6, explaining how every Jew is a
beautiful precious gem in the crown of HY, and if one suffers offense
from another Jew, he must examine himself and determine what it is
that he needs to fix, why is this diamond not adjusting well with
him?!
