Toldoas – פרשת תולדות – The offspring (of
Yitzchok)
And his hand was grasping the heal of Esau.
Yaakov does not allow Esau to finish
his scheme

Halachos, Laws of the Ninth of Av (Tisha Bi'uv) and Fast days 4:14
25:27
And Yaakov was a wholesome <tum>
man abiding in tents.
The essential holiness of man is in the house,
“abiding in tents,” even still one needs to be entering and exiting, and for
this one needs to be drawn close to true tzadikim
Likutay
Halachos, Laws of a Sefer Torah 4:22
___________
Yaakov's main study was in the holy
faith

Halachos, Laws of Hefker (ownerless) and Possessions of a Convert 4:32
And Yitzchok loved Esau because he preyed deceptively (on
Yitzchok) with his mouth (translated according to the Medrash brought in
Rashi).
The stringencies of Esau were due to
mishpat (judgment) which wasn't included into tzeduka (benevolence) which is
defective
Likutay
Halachos, Laws of Gifts 5:37
25:29
And Yaakov cooked a broth.
Symbolic to the very conflict between
Yaakov's consolation and happiness in his belief of resurrection and cycle of
good which breed holy eating and earned him the blessings verses Esau's anxiety
and entrenchment in the morbid
Likutay
Halachos, Laws of Blessing of Thanksgiving 6:18
25:31
Sell, as it is day, your (rights of the)
firstborn to me.
Why did Yaakov endeavor to extract the
firstborn from Esau
Likutay
Halachos, Laws of Genaiva (theft) 4:8
25:34
And Esau got up, and he
went, and he derided the firstborn (birthright).
Esau did not kiss the mezuza on the
way out – he did not draw the holiness to the outside
Likutay
Halachos, Laws of a Sefer Torah 4:27
Because Avrohom listened to my calling etc..
A burning passionate heart for the
devotion of Hashem
Koachvay Ohr,
Anshay Moharan (the Men of Our Leader Rabbi Nachman) 30-1
26:5
And he guarded my safeguards,
my commandments (mitzvas), my statutes, and my guidance (Torahs).
Mitzva is an expression of “tzavta” -
joining, because every mitzva brings the Divine light together with the vessels
– the mind

Halachos, Laws of Washing Hands in the Morning 4:11
And make for me delicacies the way I like etc. in order that
my soul may bless you before I die.
Yitzchok thought that Esau was
occupied in hunting and worldliness in order to support Yaakov – those whole study
Torah
For this reason
Yitzchok wanted to bless Esau with materialistic abundance, so that he can
support those who study Torah
Likutay
Halachos, Laws of a Guarantor 3:21
Go now/please to the
sheep, and take for me from there two choice kid goats etc..
Yaakov humbled the brazenness of the
evil realm and merited to holy brazenness
Likutay
Halachos, Laws of Meat with Milk 4:9
What is this
that you hastened to find my son? And he said, because Hashem your G-d availed
before me.
Yitzchok knew that the blessings would
ultimately be Yaakov's, however he thought that first they should go to Esau
and he would give them to Yaakov
