The blessing of the tears of the woke

Our holy sages o.b.m. revealed that the severity of the exile is due to the tears of Esau which he shed upon learning that he forfeited the blessings of his father Yitzchok. Therefore when Esau sheds tears on frivolous things and all the more so on improper things, this weakens the power of those few tears he shed for the loss of the blessings.
