165. “Love your neighbor as yourself—I am G-d” [Leviticus 19].

Receive lovingly all evils and sufferings befalling you, knowing per your deeds, despite all sufferings and evils, He still mercifully deals with you—for more was due, G-d forbid. Thus, “love your neighbor”: love the evil (evils, sufferings) befalling you, G-d forbid—accept lovingly, as yourself (per your deeds). “I am G-d,” Mercies' Master, still merciful as above.
