Torah 6 is about Elul. 

Rabbainu explains there the concept and the avoda - devotion - of doing repentance on repentance, because after repenting a person reaches a higher level and will be ashamed of his previous level and repent for being that way.

Parable:

A guy finds an old lady disoriented and in bad health, his consciousness doesn't give him rest, so he takes her in and helps her out a bit... Then he finds out it's his mother/daughter..... Now he regrets the lackadaisical meaningless help he gave..... And so too with our recognition of G-d..
