HH
This is kind of tedious for me, but I see that it is important.
This guy came over to me in Meron on Lag BuOmer telling me he needed joy, for he was plagued with depression, and so I entered into conversation with him about the happiness of Na Nach. During the conversation he told me how he had just made a "chalaka" (first haircut ceremony) for his son, and his father didn't arrive and his wife got upset at him for something or other and all of this had sent him spiraling down into sadness. So there you have it, a person merits to be by Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai on Lag BuOmer, and even merits to bring his family, who are healthy, and even merits to make a chalaka for his son there and then, and the realm of evil manages to throw him down into depression. How much there is to rejoice to high heaven! And Nanach does just the opposite, even when there is GF ample cause for sadness and depression NNNNM reverses everything to good!
Right before this I had a similar story, I overheard a young chusid nagging an older Yeminite man, asking him how they had let the Zionists get away with their evils. The older man replied, that he still remembers how it was like 70 years ago to be in Israel, he still remembers seeing his grandfather by the Passover Seder with tears streaming down his face for having the merit of living in Jerusalem, who would have dreamed of such a possibility back then?!
(See a Hebrew post that the Breslov stance is that as bad as the Zionists were, at least their mistake was in favor of the Holy Land http://naanaach.blogspot.co.il/2016/07/blog-post_29.html).
Perspective is what is really needed. Every second we are alive in this world, and we believe in HY and Na Nach Nachma Nachman Meuman - there is no conception to the merit, so make the choice to celebrate it at all times.
Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman!
