Blossoms of the Spring - Letter 61: "All the steps and toils you had on Rosh Hashana in order..."

 Letter 61

 

BH, 14^th of Tishrei, [5]722 (Sunday – September 24, 1961), Tel-Aviv.

 

The delight of my eye, Mr. Z. Shazar – who is entwined [Shazur in Hebrew – a play on the name Shazar] and woven with thick ropes of love to the Tzaddik who is such a wondrous and awesome novelty, that there has never been anyone like Him, and there will never be anyone like Him; who will reverse the whole world from bad to good with the sound of His Torah; and He will finish everything as His wish is – to bring everything to the good and eternal ultimate purpose. With the coming of our righteous Messiah, it will become known to all the Jewish people the awesomeness of His greatness, and the mouths of the liars [lit. speakers of falsehood] will then become stuffed up, and they will be mortified, and they will bite their flesh, and the truth will overpower, and peace will increase, and He will eradicate the impure spirit [Ruach hatum-oh] from the world. Peace, and all the best.

 

On Friday, [the] twelfth of Tishrei – close to the entry of the holy Shabbos, your heartful letter reached my hands – from the day: 26^th of Elul, [5]721 – together with a check amounting to seventy-five Israeli Liras. Blessings should rest upon your head, for you have gladdened and enlivened me – my precious one, the joy of my heart, with your act and great loving-kindness that you have wondrously done with me. Rejoice and exult over your good portion – that which you have merited to bind and attach yourself with such fierce love to the Tzaddik and His faithful people. This is your portion from all your labor, this is your hope for eternity.

 

All your passion, and all the blazing of your heart – which blazes and longs to grow, glorify, and promulgate the name of the True Tzaddik in the world – and every action, and any slight movement which you engage in for the sake of the benefit of the matters and engagements of the Tzaddik, and His kosher and true people of the generation; and in particular, all the steps and toils you had on Rosh Hashana in order to be included in the holy gathering [Ikibbutz] of the Tzaddik who engages in the healing and the rectification of our souls – this is all registered on high for the good, and your reward will not be curtailed.

ביום שישי י"ב תשרי סמוך לכניסת שבת קודש הגיע לידי אגרתך הלבבי מיום כ"ו אלול תשכ"א בצרוף צ'ק על סך שבעים וחמש לירות ישראליות ינוחו ברכות על ראשך, כי שמחתני והחייתני, יקירי משוש ליבי, בפעלך וחסדך הגדול שהפלאת לעשות עמדי, תגיל ותשיש על חלקך הטוב שזכית להתקשר ולהתדבק באהבה עזה כל כך אל הצדיק ואנשיו הנאמנים, זה חלקך מכל עמלך, זה תקותך לנצח.

כל תשוקתך ותבערת ליבך הבוער ונכסף לגדל לפאר ולפרסם את שם הצדיק האמת בעולם, וכל פעולה וכל תנועה קלה שאתה עוסק לטובת ענייני ועסקי הצדיק ואנשיו הכשרים האמיתיים שבדור, בפרט כל הפסיעות והיגיעות שהיה לך בראש השנה להיות בכלל הקיבוץ הקדוש של הצדיק העוסק ברפואת ותיקון נפשנו, הכל נרשם למעלה לטובה ושכרך לא יקופח.
