Blossoms of the Spring - Letter 79: A letter from Hoshana Rabba

 Letter 79 

 

BH. Hoshana Rabba (7th day of Sukkos - The great “Please save us”), [5]724 (Wednesday – October 9, 1963).

 

In honor of the president of Israel, Mr. S. Z. Shazar – who gazes upon the pure and refined truth, and he sees from a distance with a vision complete and as bright as the sun the truthfulness of the truth; and he longs and blazes with vigorous passion and strong desire to repay with zeal the debt that is imposed on him – to have pity on the nation of God and upon all the exceedingly extraneous and estranged places, to bring them under the wings of the True Tzaddik – the Minister of the world who hovers and covers over them constantly in order to stand them up from their downfall, which they have fallen astoundingly to the depths of the depths of the abyss – which is the insanity of the apostasies and the faiths of falsehood and nonsense of nonsense – and to elevate them higher, higher, to the utmost ascent, and to reverse malicious sins into merits, and from apostasy to holy, clear, and straight faith, long life, good, truthful life.

 

I have gotten the contribution amounting to one-hundred Israeli Liras. Much thanks and blessings, and charming grace, charming grace from the insides of a deep heart. My heart rejoices, and my soul exults in the salvation of your soul that God has performed with you – such wonders of wonders, such good and marvelous loving-kindnesses – with the attachment that you have become attached [/bound] with knots of knots, with an enormous and fierce love to the True Tzaddik and His true people, the kosher ones of the generation – to the point that all the waters of the world will not be able to extinguish it. Oh, how good is your portion, and how blissful is your lot.

 

It is befitting for the world to be amazed over the love that is between us (See Chayei Moharan 292).

 

Out of many causes, I am forced to end with peace, life, and happiness of the holy Holiday that proclaims and announces that there is a God who rules in the Heavens above and upon the land below.

השגתי התרומה בסך מאה ל"י, רב תודות וברכות וחן חן מקרב לב עמוק. שמח לבי ותגל נפשי בישועת נפשך שעשה ה' עימך פלאי, פלאות כאלה חסדים טובים ונפלאים כאלה. בהתקשרות שנתקשרת בקשרי קשרים באהבה עזה ועצומה אל הצדיק האמת ואנשיו האמיתיים הכשרים שבדור, עד אשר כל מימות שבעולם לא יוכלו לכבותה, מה טוב חלקך ומה נעים גורלך.

העולם ראוי שיתמהו על האהבה שבנינו.

מכמה סיבות הכרחתי לסיים בשלום וחיים ושמחת החג הקדוש הקורא ומכריז שיש אלוקים שליט בשמים ממעל ועל הארץ מתחת.

אוהבו לנצח ומתפלל בעדו תמיד בכל עת ובכל שעה.
