Biden to Trump Buchanan To Na Nach Nachma Nachman MayUman

 HH

American history is not one of my fortes, so I figured that good old Joe Biden must be the absolute worst president ever, but I have since learned that he may still fall short of James Buchanan who is credited with much worse disastrous policies and even the civil war. Many people are talking about civil war now, and there was some fraudulent rabbi who is even quoted of predicting it, and there is clearly a huge divide in society which is already formidable, so I am not sure how much far behind Biden is, and certainly in some aspects he has superseded. Taking first place is not just a matter of fame and honor, it most probably is a turning point, because when things go as low as they can possibly get, that is usually when they reverse. Like a pendulum, and as it says in Proverbs, humility before honor. Reaching Buchanan has much more significance, it is already a sign of redemption.

This is a post from 10/26/08

Shabos in Staten Island, was hosted by a few families, the one that put me up live on Buchanan St., this is quite amazing because if you read the name of the street from right to left and readjust the other letters you get U B Nanach! - which is Jamaican for You Are Nanach!

Buchanan heralds Na Nach Nachma Nachman MayUman!

So let's go Buchanan!

You can do it! You Be Nanach!

Humility

HH

The Chok Liyisroel on the Torah portion of Va-yichee, Friday (-available in English at echok.org) in the section of mussar - ethics, brings the most awesome revelation from our Sages. That all the hardships and miseries that Jacob suffered, the rape of his daughter Dina, the kidnapping of his prized son Joseph, and many more, were all brought upon him from HY so that he would not have haughtiness over his brother Esau [who was a serial killer, rapist, extortionist etc. on an altogether different level]! #Mindboggling.

Rabbainu said that he could easily put an end to all the strife against him, but he always has to ascend to higher levels to draw close to HY, and strife elevates a person, and there are certain levels are attainable only through being a victim of strife, may HY save us.

All levels are ultimately evaluated and classified according to the humility therein, because humility is the highest trait, and therefore it is the deciding and overall definer of every level (just like a billionaire isn't called a millionaire, so too every level is defined by its highest value). Rabbainu said that he was the humble one of all the tzadikim. Rabbainu was always seeking to be yet even more humble and more humble, to no end at all, to the Ain Sof (the Infinite One who has no end) blessed He.

Rabbainu said that a tzadik can be so great that he has no one to be embarrassed from, just from HY Himself. A tzadik can revel in his inadequacy before HY.

Shame and humiliation

HH

Some people are into the whole fire and brimstone thing, many evangelicals and lihavdil (-to separate) baalay mussar (-masters of ethics) go to great length to give over the utter horrors and fearsome pain and agony that awaits the sinner in hell, may HY save us. Rabbi Nussun writes in a few places that usually this has an adverse effect, since it is too much for a person to deal with it just throws him into despair which in turn gives him license to sin. This is something I think many people can relate to and is empirical.

However recently I came across something with a different approach to driving home the gravity and punishment of sin. There is a short little video of a dog, its head lowered in shame, and it is cowering and almost whimpering with very sad eyes, until it finally sinks to the ground with its head resting there, looking up now and again utterly ashamed. Then the video veers off the dog just for a brief second before returning to capture the dog's histrionics, to show the viewer what the dog is so ashamed of - there it is on the floor, the dog broke the rules of its training and had defecated in the house right there, and now was completely at loss, completely ashamed and humiliated.

This is what sin is, and what sin does, and a very good reason why you don't want to sin....

Elul - Man and His Beloved

ELUL
Elul is acronym Ani Lidoadee – I am for my beloved, Vidoadee Lee – and my beloved is for me, and we found countless times where the relationship between HY and the Jews is likened to that of a Man and his Beloved.
Previously on this blog I already wrote how this makes it more natural for a woman to connect with HY, then for a man, see there. Here I would like to build on this.
A woman has 4 very strong emotions regarding her man, these her body and whole being scream out, even if she doesn't actually let them escape her lips. These are not simple pronunciations, but repeated and continuous, incessant, flowing and gushing, and pleading. Much of this unfortunately is reduced to vulgar and coarse language, simply because the way of holiness has been despaired[1]. Obviously it will be more powerful if one actually expresses himself out loud to HY, but there is also the factor of streaming the thoughts intensely as described above.

1.       NEED. Even before any contact is made, and throughout any union, there is the overall urgent and or definite NEED.
2.       GRATITUDE. [YES!]
3.       The need to really experience him completely: GIVE IT TO ME….
{particularly on the inhale}
4.       Surrender. I AM YOURS.
{particularly on the exhale}
One should offer these up to HY, every second, for every second in this world one's very being and essence, his composition, consciousness, and breath is all from HY, and one can max out on this, pouring out, even only in thought – in his mind, thanks and gratitude, and plead to receive more, and to fully surrender and be His.[2]

The wise will understand that this is just the groundwork, the beginning, every detail enhances, intensifies, and fortifies the aggregate effect. One must be nak*d – completely bare and open before G-d, completely vulnerable, and then of course there is the factor of humiliation, and so much more.

Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman!

[1] There is a story of the Baal Shem Tov who saw that there was great prosecution against Israel because there was a priest who had never experienced a nocturnal emission. So the Baal Shem Tov visited him and caused it to happen, the Baal Shem Tov spoke in holiness cloaking his words in worldly expressions, which were enough to bring the priest over the edge just by hearing them. And as the power of holiness is infinitely greater, who can imagine what the Baal Shem Tov experienced!
[2] These four can parallel the 4 preceding steps of the building of the Malchus in the first blessing of Shemoneh Esray (very succinctly): Melech (Kessehr) – need. Oazair (chaba"d) – gratitude for being there for you. Oomoasheyu (chaga"t) – getting everything. Oomugain (nihe"y) – completely dominated.
Also the three particular expressions can correlate to the three main paradigms of the Yichudim the Ramchal revealed. 1. Gratitude – zivug of the middle – azteelus, where we are just recipients. 2. Give it to me – the second level of Yichudim where azteelus is the soul and the tzadikim are the body – definite players. 3. Utter consummation – the highest and final Yichud of the beginning and the end, where the end shows that there is just the beginning, there is only HY.
