Attributed to Rabbi Chaim Brisker (I think), there are two types of zealots, the man of the house and the cat both hunt down the mice in the house, but the man of the house wishes they were not there to begin with, and ‫the cat desires that there​ should be more and more mice.

The Ramchal in Daas Tevunos reveals the system that Hashem Yisburach enacted in creation to reveal His Unity in cumulative levels against the backdrop of divergence. This introduces a higher aspiration then the zealously coveted by Rabbi Chaim Brisker, not to simply desire that there should be no impurity, but rather to realize purity in the face of all the impurity. This concept is also found in the Legendary Tales of Rabbi Nachman,   in the story of The Humble King, where the wise man recounts to the king all the evils and the atrocitiess in his kingdom turning them around to such high praise and exaltation of the king that the king reveals himself.

Similarly, in the blessings of the morning there are three blessings on cumulative privileges based not on the actual privelege but on the elevation from the lower level.

The story is told of a holy rabbi who prepared his congregation for the approaching Nazis by telling them how fortunate they were that they were chosen to be the victims and not the perpetrators.

In the prayers we bless Gd for creating us for His glory and separating us from those who go astray. This is our merit and privilege to stand at the helm and do what we can to help others and fix the world. Even a society such as Sodom that fosters ten righteous people is demonstrative of the greatness of Gd and has merit to continue, as long as the true tzaddik is actively looking out and praying for them, and that is what we must do now.

The stupidity of the Olympics and similar competition

HH the absolute stupidity of sports, running around for nothing, and all the passion for nothing, doesn't need too much mention, anyone aiming for the truth will be abhorred by it. What sometimes can be misleading are the physical achievements that athletes can achieve or once in a while we hear can be pulled off through meditation. Here it is important not to fall for how pathetic this all is. If a person could empower himself with the smallest of angels he would literally be able to skip and fly around the world and lift the largest building, all the more so a person's soul which far greater. So here people are caught up with puny accomplishments of their body, while they are sitting on the awesome power of their soul. Like showing off picture of toy cars instead of drag racing in the most advanced model cars.
Yes, there might be something to keep the body a little fit, but anything more than little bit is and will be the source of eternal shame of the sheer stupidity. In days to come the body will altogether be secondary to the soul, and will be like a guest, just as now the soul seems secondary and like a guest in the body, there are a few stages to this, until eventually the body will just be completely swallowed by the soul, all the 5 main stages are delineated in Daas Tevunos of the Ramchal.

The Righteous Suffer

The Ramchal in Daas Tevunos explains that there are 2 ways HY runs the world. 1 is by virtue of reward and punishment. 2 is according to the grand master plan to reveal His Perfect Unity. In order that His unity is revealed completely, evil is given full opportunity to do what it can, and then HY shows how therefore in reality even the evil is for the good.
The Ramchal says that if HY would run the world solely with #2, all the righteous would be suffering and the wicked would be thriving. To the extent that o e would pick the suffering to merit the infinite macro reward. But since there is also #1, so no one could ever know why a given person is suffering or thriving.
The Ramchal also says that as the coming of the Messiah approaches HY more and more is running the world with #2.
That means that the chances are that if a person is righteous he will be suffering HY.
This brings to mind what Rabbainu said that nowadays we don't find kosher people with exaggerated wealth, to come to such wealth one has to fall deep in the tuma RL. Writing with my thumbs here without a computer it is too difficult for me to develop this.

Extinct Species

This really deserves a second reading and analyzation, but I'll lay it down first for what it is.
One of the most important books in the history of the world, is Daas Tevunos (-Realization of knowledge of Understanding) by the Ramchal. A few months ago I posted a short summation of what my mind remembered to be the main brunt of this awesome holy book. It had been about 20 years since I had read it, and then one good deed brought another and I have just about finished rereading it.
BTW it is interesting to note that he talks about the Tikun Haklali, a term almost exclusive to Rabbi Nachman of Breslov - NNNNM, the Ramchal also uses it in other books like his Kavanot.
Getting back on target, the Ramchal in Daas Tevunos explains the purpose and function of creation, and he says that as the purpose and function reaches achievement, those parts will be annulled and disappear. It's way to hard for me to explain this here with my thumbs, but it strongly suggests that we should expect to be seeing a lot of things going extinct and disappearing, and this is a very good thing which symbolises that those things have already ran their course, and we are that much closer to redemption.
(So just like the Freemasons are behind the scare of global warming etc. So too it is not from a good place that people are coming to save extinction)

Ramchal's One infinite vessel

Tonight, yesod she-bi-yisod, is the hilula of the Ramchal (acronym Rabbi Moshe Chaim Luzzatto). He brought many souls to Nanach, including myself. When I read his work "daas tevunos" (realizing knowledge of understanding) I was an extremely diligent yeshiva boy very much ingrained in the Yeshiva philosophy, this work made a huge dent in my belief in their system. It was such a huge game changer - I understood distinctly that a person can excel and master the whole Talmud, and not realize the enormous revelation of this holy awesome work. From then on I intensified my search, concentration, and focus on finding out the important things in life. This is in fact what "Torah Lishmu" (Torah for the Sake of the Shechina), as Rashi in two places in the Talmud says explicitly that this is the intent to find the secrets of the Torah. On all of this I would need to go to great lengths to explain, but here is not the place or time.

It's been many many years since I've reread this holy work, and I can not do full justice or take responsibility of accuracy. Arguably the main point of the work is to show how G-d created the world to reveal His unity, as this allows for the manifestation of all the possible levels of non-unity, where as any other attribute only shows a clear expression of it's positive existence but not of it's ineptitude. E.g wisdom manifests itself at many levels, but there is no measure for stupidity, it is just the absence of intellect, whereas G-d's Unity is just the opposite, His unity is infinite and cannot be fathomed, but every type, form, and amount of unity clearly manifests itself, and thus can be used as a handle of showing some level and perception of G-d's unity. as negative vessels, to reveal that there is only The One Infinite. These vessels show that after every possible force, virtue, or anything achieves maximization, it is nothing, there is just G-d. The evil was created to show that as much as it can even look as prevalent, a rock to big for its creator, it can even give such an impression, and this too is nothing, for the reality is the One Infinite G-d. The infinity of G-d can not be shown in itself, it is impossible to show the infinity of 1, so G-d showed every possible venue, and the more realization of how they have no existence outside of G-d, the more realization of the infinity of G-d Himself.

Some people find this hard to understand, and that's reading it from the clear writing of the Ramchal, so don't go hard on yourself if you don't get my one paragraph synopsis written 15 years after reading the original. But it's the best I can give you for now.

The Ramchal himself reveals, and this is something the Baal Shem Tov really drove home, that all of the Kabbala, all the worlds, are in Man. When sitting before G-d, you gotto let G-d take over. Contemplate how all your limbs are inverse vessel (vessels that don't hold things inside of them, but rather like a dot which holds everything around it) screaming the ultimate presence and realization of G-d. If you could do this, you will be one very happy camper, fortunate is your lot in this world which is already the next world.
