In "Likutei Moharan" Rabbeinu speaks about fallen fears and fallen loves. Perhaps this fall can happen to other qualities as well. For example, fallen humility would be inferiority complex and self-loathing that are so prevalent nowadays. If inferiority complex were the same as real humbleness, we would be all like Moshe Rabbeinu.
