This is the way of Nanach, as explained in Likutay Moharan volume 2 Torah-teaching 8, Moshe knew how to rebuke in such a way that they smelled better, and the only way to pull that off is by the power of the song of the future, the song which is single double triple quadruple - which we now know is Na NaCh NaChMa NaChMaN MAyUMaN
