 Letter 104

 

Baruch Hashem. 22 Nissan, [5]726 (Tuesday – April 12, 1966).

 

In honor of the president of Israel, my heart and flesh, Mr. S. Z. Shazar – who anticipates, looks, and gazes in order to see the true truth which is a wonder of wonders, wonders on top of gigantic and awesome wonders to no end and of no finitude – which He will conquer the whole world, and He will instill in their hearts complete, pure, brilliant, and clear faith until all the false beliefs and atheisms will become nullified, and the nations of the land will be going Jewish and converting, and they will say, “Adonoy, God of the Jewish people is King and His Kingship rules over all”. Much peace [unto you].

 

In my heart I will exult and rejoice when I see your heartful[1] blessing, the love of your heart, and the magnitude of your loving-kindness that you have increased to perform with me with the sum of three-hundred Israeli Liras. Much thanks; God should repay [for] your good act. My eyes and heart are raised to our Father in Heaven until He will favor you, uplift your horns [i.e., glory] and success, guard you and your household from all sorts of sicknesses, and He will heal you [plural] in body and soul for the length of good and pleasant days and years.

 

The entire main Exodus from Egypt, and all the awesome signs and wonders which God, blessed He, has performed with our ancestors and with us from the day of the Exodus from Egypt until this day in each and every generation – it’s all for the sake of the holy faith: in order to merit to complete faith – which [this] is the main thing of all, and this is the main service of the person all the days of his life. And for the sake of this the person came to this world – in order to recognize God, which this is the [ultimate] purpose of all the purposes.

אגיל ואשמח בלבבי בראותי את ברכתך הלהבי ואת אהבת לבך וגודל חסדך אשר הרבית לעשות עמדי בהסך שלש מאות לירות ישראליות, רב תודות, ישלם ה' פעלך הטוב. עיני ולבי אל אבינו שבשמים נשואות עד שיחננך וירים קרנך והצלחתך, וישמור אותך ואת ביתך מכל מיני חולאים, וירפא אתכם בגוף ובנפש לאורך ימים ושנים טובים ונעימים.

כל עיקר יציאת מצרים, וכל האותות והמופתים הנוראים אשר עשה השם יתברך עם אבותינו ועימנו מיום יציאת מצרים עד היום הזה בכל דור ודור. הכל בשביל האמונה הקדושה, כדי לזכות לאמונה שלימה שזה עיקר הכל וזה עיקר עבודת האדם כל ימי חייו, ובשביל זה בא האדם לעולם הזה כדי להכיר את ה' שזהו התכלית מכל התכליתין.
