Letter 143[1]

 

Baruch Hashem. Midnight of the second night of Chanukah, [5]722 (Sunday night – Dec. 3/4, 1961), Tel Aviv.

 

My heart, my dear one, Mr. Z. Shazar – who has merited to unite[2] himself with the True Tzaddik who is the Head, [the] Chosen [/Choiciest] Truth from between the True Chosen Tzaddikim, [the] singular ones of [all] the generations; who has revealed such truth in the world that it is impossible to ruin it in any way in the world.

Peace, life, and all the best.

 

One must thoroughly, thoroughly remember all the days of his life – every single day – the magnitude of the Omnipresent’s loving-kindness which He has performed with him, and He has brought about awesome causes with his stratagems in order to draw him close to the True Tzaddik who has extracted him from where He extracted him, and He informs him that God is still with him and He won’t withhold [/abandon] His loving-kindness from him – for eternity. And even though he still undergoes that which he undergoes [lit. he goes through that which he goes through], certainly, the loving-kindness and goodness which God, blessed He, has done with him certainly isn’t for nothing, God forbid. And in the end of all ends, God, blessed He, will finish His, and he will merit to return to his source in completeness, for the word of our God will stand forever.

[2] In the letter, it says לשטף – which means ‘to wash’; but possibly the intention is לשתף – ‘to unite’.

לבי יקירי מר ז.שזר, שזכה לשטף עצמו עם הצדיק האמת שהוא ראש מבחר האמת שבין הצדיקים המובחרים האמתיים יחידי הדורות שגילה אמת כזה בעולם שאי אפשר לקלקלו בשום אופן בעולם.

צריך לזכור היטב היטב כל ימי חייו בכל יום ויום גודל חסדי המקום שעשה עמו וסבב סיבות נוראות בתחבולותיו לקרבו להצדיק האמת שהוציאו ממקום שהוציאו, ומודיע לו כי עדיין ה" עמו ולא יעזוב את חסדו, ממנו לנצח. ואעפ"י שעדיין עובר מה שעובר בוודאי החסד והטובה שעשה עמו השי"ת, בוודאי אינו לריק ח"ו, וסוף כל סוף יגמור השי"ת את שלו ויזכה לשוב למקורו בשלימות, כי דבר אלקינו יקום לעולם:
