Torah 56
When a Person Has Heart, Space Does Not Pertain to Him
at All
When a person has a heart, place does not pertain to him at
all, for on the contrary, he is the place of the world, and so forth. For
divinity is in the heart, as it is written (Psalms 73): “The
Rock of my heart.” And regarding Hashem, blessed be He, it is
said (Exodus 33): “Behold, there is a place with Me,” that
He is the place of the world, and the world is not His place (as brought in
Rashi there, and it is in Bereishit Rabbah there). It comes out, (that) one
who has an Israelite heart, it is not fitting for him to say that this place is
not good before him, for space does not pertain to him at all, for on the
contrary, he is the place of the world, and the world is not his place, as
mentioned above.
