Nanach on the Torah - Parshas VaYairuh - This weeks Torah Portion - References to all the original teachings of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov and his students

Torah Portion of Va-yairu – פרשת וירא – And (Hashem) appeared (to Abraham)

And Hashem appeared to him (-Abraham) in Ailoanay (-plains of) Mamray and he was sitting at the entrance of the tent in the heat of the day.

Whoever has mercy on himself, even when the evil realm overwhelms him and seeks to cast him away, he will not relent and will continue to situate himself at the entrance of holiness until he is given to enter

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Eeshoos (matrimony) 4:19

And I will take a loaf of bread and feast your hearts.

Father Abraham gave them to eat in order that the angels should see what a person contends with in this world, and thus they will not have an opening to litigate against him receiving the Torah

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Breaking Bread 5:49

Because I know him because he commands his sons etc. to do charity and justice.

This verse is adjacent to the matter of Sodom, because the power to nullify edicts with prayer is by virtue of charity and justice

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Gifts 5:29

And Avrohom arose early in the morning to the place where he stood there (in devoted prayer before) the countenance of Hashem.

That which Abraham established the morning prayer of Shacharis was a reformation for the whole world, because even before him they were already praying

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Mincha (afternoon prayer) 7:82

_____________

Abraham constituted the morning prayer of Shacharis, for the main glory of HY is from beseeching, even more than praising, because the beseeching publicize Hashem's Providence over creation changing nature according to what is requested from Him

Likutay Halachos, Laws of the Prayer of Mincha (afternoon) 6

Also I know that with the innocence of your heart you did this etc..

The real truth is only when a person is free of all bodily desires, otherwise one's truth is to know that he is far from the truth

This is what HY told Avimelech

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Interest 5:34

And Sara said laughter G-d has made for me.

The laughter with the birth of Isaac was from the enormous joy in all the world from his holy birthplace

This is the aspect of the great rejoicing at a wedding

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Shabbos 6:23

And Gd tested Abraham.

What was the challenge of the test if HY told him straight out what to do? Only, it was his not harboring wrongful suspicions pertaining His Measures and he did His Will without understanding, this was the main challenge of the test

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Gifts 5:47

Take now (/please) your son, your only child etc..

The main construct of the Akaida (test of binding Isaac) is the yearning and longing for the Will of HY

By virtue of their withstanding the test it is ingrained in the nature of our souls to be willing to die for the sanctification of Hashem

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Craftsmen 4:10

And he (Abraham) saw the place from afar.

Even when one draws close to HY it is necessary to know that he is still distant

Abraham saw the future salvation, but only from afar

So it is always in every generation, in general and in particular

Through this one can hold up no matter what transpires to him

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Sending Away from a Nest 5

And Abraham called the name of that place (in prayer that) Hashem <Yeereh> Will See (fit to choose it) etc..

Abraham saw the salvation, but only from afar so that he couldn't figure it out, he had just to believe and wait for it and not to act prematurely (doachaik <press, pressure> hashu'a <the hour – the time>)

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Gifts 5:47
