Baruch Hashem. Rosh Chodesh Nissan, [5]730 (Tuesday
– April 7, 1970), Tiberias.
In honor of the president of Israel
who is beloved and desirable in the eyes of God, Mr. S. Z. Shazar – whom in him
God has chosen from all the Jewish people and has given him a hidden and
concealed treasured present: the Tzaddik [the] Gushing Stream; and he chases, runs, and flies with speed and zeal
in order to pump the waters of His wisdom – [that which is]
transcendent over all that is on high – to give to drink to all the
Jewish people in order to revive their souls. For only He alone can elevate and
extract us from the torrent of malicious waters, cloudy waters, putrefied and
filthy waters which we have become ensnared therein. For now, amidst the forcefulness
of the overpowering of the concealment and deep descent – all the Jewish people
are starving, thirsting, hungering, and yearning in the interiority of their
hearts with expiration of the soul to find a True Leader who will extract them
from the surpassingly horrific darkness and the shadow of death. Peace [un]to you; do not fear and do not cower – God is with you
and by you and close to you.
We are
dependent upon affection[1],
upon one composition, with one body and soul. There is no other love in the
world like our love, for it is entirely only truth alone; an explicit,
brilliant, and pure truth without waste or self-ulterior motives – only for the
Name of God, and the truth of God is forever and for eternity. We need to be very,
very careful to fire up and renew the love all the time with
more uplift and more might – for it is the good of the Collective Jewish people
for generations.
Know, my brother, my very bone and soul,
that my eyes and heart are by you constantly, all the days – to include the
nights, during the hisbodedus [seclusion –
for the purpose of being alone in communion with God], conversations, supplications, and entreaties between me and my
Creator. Because, from the first day, which is 15 Shevat, [5]717 (Wed.
night – Jan 17, 1957), which on that same day you focused
your heart to enter into the chamber of the King, the Messiah of God who is
alive and everlasting, a Gushing Stream – God has wanted in you in order to give you the throne of
your reign over the Jewish people for the length of good, blissful, and healthy
days and years. Only, your ears and eyes should be open to go in His ways and
to fulfill in truth and wholeheartedly the things that He has commanded us in His
awesome books; so that [you]
know that God is the Almighty. And know and believe with a strong and correct faith,
that solely because of this have we merited to all the wondrous and awesome
miracles which God has performed with us in His great loving-kindness before the
eyes of all the nations. To the point that the honor of God, and the honor of His
Jewish nation, the chosen nation, and the honor of Israel, the chosen [land] from all the lands have ascended, grown,
and become esteemed throughout the whole world. If the Jewish people would know
only a bit of a bit from this, they would all bow down and prostrate themselves
before the glory of his kingdom and kiss the soles of his feet.
With much delight and joy of the
heart, I received the present of the holy Purim – the sum of one-hundred
Israeli Liras. May God repay [for] your good act, in that your passion is always strong to support me
with all your heart. God the Good shall clothe you with garments of salvation
and a cloak of charity, loving-kindness, and great compassion; and He should
increase upon you and your household blessing, peace, and good long life – that
you should merit to overcome in order to be constantly in happiness – however
it may be – with the magnitude of God’s loving-kindness and wonders in that He
gave you such a free present; and to strengthen yourself in longings, yearnings,
and strong wishes to look upon the pleasantness of God which
the Gushing Stream has drawn with the wonders of wonders of His awesome Teachings,
Prayers, Stories, and Conversations which are sealed and concealed from all the
worlds, that [which] wasn’t yet revealed from
the time of the world’s creation – which through them, our redemption which is
very near will blossom and sprout.
Although it is true that I had pain and anguish
of the soul from the great honor that he [third person] honored
me on this holy Purim in Tiberias – for in truth, I know in my soul that according
to my actions, and my immense sins and
willful sins, I am not worthy of honor whatsoever, whatsoever; and I am required
in self [/soul]-sacrifice to flee and to distance
myself from the honor in the utmost, utmost estrangement. However, despite all
of this, my joy grows immeasurably when I see with this the magnitude of his
love and faith in the True Tzaddik and His kosher people, and the intensity of
his passion to hear the secret of the awesomeness of His greatness – of which
there is none to liken to Him – until it will become revealed to you the greatness
of His goodness which is hidden and sequestered. Behold, gaze, and focus your
heart thoroughly on the hints which God, blessed He, hints to you each time to bind
yourself with the Gushing Stream, the Source of Wisdom with a solid and strong
bond that shall not ever founder in this [world] and in the upcoming [world]; for He is your life and the length of your days. And may Yehuda
and Jerusalem be saved in your days with the revelation of the light of the Tzaddik
that shines now in these generations. I pray and anticipate to God, blessed He,
that He should assist and merit me to skip over all the stumbling blocks in
order to come in writing from now on successively from time to time – for it is
a merit for the masses for generations of which there is nothing else like it.
With a blessing for a kosher and joyous
festival from your faithful servant who is devoted with all heart and soul, who
prays and supplicates constantly for your wellbeing and good:

לכבוד נשיא ישראל
אהוב ונחמד בעיני ה" מר ש.ז.שזר אשר בו בחר ה" מכל ישראל ונתן לו מתנה
חמודה טמונה וטמורה את הצדיק נחל נובע. ורודף ורץ ופורח במהירות בזריזות לשאוב
מימי חכמתו עלאה מכל עלאין להשקות לכל ישראל להשיב נפשם. כי רק הוא לבד יכול
להעלות ולהוציא אותנו משטף מים הזידונים מים עכורים מים סרוחים ומטונפים שנלכדנו
בו. כי עכשיו בעוצם תגבורת ההסתרה והירידה העמוקה, כל ישראל רעבים וצמאים ותאבים
ומשתוקקים בפנימיות לבם בכלות הנפש למצוא מנהיג אמתי שיוציאם מחושך וצלמות הנורא

ואל תחת ה" עמך ואצלך וקרוב לך

תליא בחיבורא חדא בגופא ונשמתא חדא אין עוד אהבה בעולם כמו אהבה שלנו, כי הוא כולה
רק אמת לבד אמת ברור צח וצלול בלי פסולת ופניות עצמית רק לשם ה" ואמת ה"
היא לעולם ולעולמי עולמים. אנחנו צריכים להזהר מאד מאד להלהיב ולחדש את האהבה בכל
פעם ביתר שאת ויתר עוז כי היא טובת כלל ישראל לדורות.
דע אחי עצמי
ונשמתי אשר עיני ולבי אצלך תמיד כל הימים לרבות הלילות בעת ההתבודדות והשיחות
ותחינות ובקשות ביני לבין קוני, כי מן היום הראשון שהוא ט"ו בשבט תשי"ז
אשר בו ביום אשר נתת את לבך ליכנוס בהיכל המלך משיח ה" החי וקים נחל נובע חפץ
בך ה" לתת לך את כסא ממלכתך על ישראל, לאורך ימים ושנים טובים נעימים
ובריאים. רק יהיו אזניך ועיניך פתוחות ללכת בדרכיו ולקיים באמת בלבב שלם את הדברים
אשר צוה אותנו בספריו הנוראים. למען דעת כי ה" הוא האלקים.
ודע והאמין
באמונה חזקה ונכונה כי רק בעבור זה זכינו לכל הנסים הנפלאים ונוראים אשר עשה
ה" עמנו בחסדו הגדול לעיני כל העמים עד שנתעלה ונתגדל ונתייקר בכל העולם כבוד
ה" וכבוד עמו ישראל עם הנבחר וכבוד ארץ ישראל הנבחר מכל הארצות, אלו היו
ישראל יודעים רק מעט מן המעט מזה היו כולם כורעים ומשטתחים לפני הדרת ממלכתו
ומנשקים כפות רגליו.
ברב עונג ושמחת
לב קבלתי מתנת פורים ה"ק הסך מאה ל"י ישלם ה" פעלך הטוב אשר תשוקתך
חזק תמיד לתומכיני בכל לבך, ה" הטוב ילבישך בגדי ישע ומעיל צדקה וחסד ורחמים
גדולים ויאציל עליך ועל ביתך ברכה ושלום וחיים טובים וארוכים שתזכה להתגבר להיות
תמיד בשמחה איך שהוא בגודל חסדי ה" ונפלאותיו שנתן לך מתנת חנם כזאת. ולהתחזק
בכיסופים וגעגועים ורצונות חזקים לחזות בנועם ה" שהמשיך הנחל נובע בפלאי
נפלאותיו תורותיו תפילותיו מעשיותיו שיחותיו הנוראות הסתומות ונעלמות מכל העולמות
שלא נתגלו עדיין מעת בריאת העולם שעל ידם תפרח ותצמח גאולתינו הקרובה מאד.
אם אמנם היה לי
צער ועגמת נפש מהכבוד הגדול אשר כבדיני בפורים הקדוש הזה בטבריא, כי באמת אני יודע
בנפשי כי לפי מעשי ופשעי ועוונותי העצומים אינני ראוי לכבוד כלל וכלל ואני מחויב
במסירת נפש לברוח ולהתרחק מן הכבוד בתכלית תכלית הריחוק, אולם למרות כל זאת גדלה
שמחתי בלי שיעור בראותי בזה גודל אהבתו ואמונתו בהצדיק האמת ואנשיו הכשרים ותוקף
תשוקתו לשמוע סוד נוראות גדולתו אשר אין ערוך לו עד אשר יתגלה לך רב טובו הצפון
וטמון. הסתכל והסתכל ושים לבך היטב על הרמזים אשר השי"ת מרמז לך בכל פעם
להתקשר עם הנחל נובע מקור חכמה בקשר אמיץ וחזק בל ימוט לעולם בזה ובבא כי הוא חייך
ואורך ימיך ובימיך תוושע יהודא וירושלים בהתגלות אור הצדיק המאיר עכשיו בדורות
אלה. אני מתפלל ומצפה להשי"ת שיעזריני ויזכיני לדלג על כל המכשולים לבוא
בכתובים מעתה לעתים תכופות כי הוא זכות הרבים לדורות שאין עוד כמוה.
