Just now buy food for Shabbos in the supermarket I met Yosef Chaim Goldshmidt, who's been going to Uman since he's 5 years old, almost 30 years ago. His father helped take care of Saba for a few months in Bnei Brak and he had a lot of crazy stories. He told me two.
1. His father says that when he would take Saba in his wheelchair up the steps, it wasn't heavy at all.
2. Once the mikva was closed so he took Saba to some ruins where there was a pool of water, the water was green and extremely murky, and there were loads of mosquitos and bugs. He was hoping that Saba would opt out, but Saba went for it, and calmly did 310 complete dips.
Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman!
