Rabbainu revealed in the Story of the Speech-impaired Beggar that the heart (-which Rabbainu revealed is alluding to King David) can't go to the Spring (-Rabbainu?) which is on the top of the mountain because only from the bottom of the mountain can you see what is on top, but once you start climbing it is no longer visible.
So if that is true for the heart of the world, all the more so for us simple people, reciters of King David's psalms, it is very life threatening to go up the mountain - because then we G"F can lose site of Rabbainu Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman! So as much as the fraudulent leaders entice with their rosy societies and alluring teachings - we must fear for our very lives and hold our ground at the bottom of the mountain.
