 Letter 66

 

BH, 25^th of Nissan [5]722 (Sunday – April 29, 1962), Tel-Aviv.

 

My heart, my precious one, Mr. Z. Shazar – who thinks thoughts and schemes [how] to inform and light up the truth in the world, which is the light of the True Tzaddik, the light of lights, the aspect of the light of Messiah; who shines upon us the enlightenment of the revelation of His Divineness, blessed He, even in the darkness, embitterment and bitterness which exists in this dark generation. And He breaks, subdues, and casts down [/humbles] from the world all the books of heresy, and the scientists whom lean towards the side of heresy and apostasy; and all the arrogance of the fraudulent leaders whom impose hatred and animosity between the Jewish people and their father in Heaven. God should command with you the blessing and life.

 

The days of old age and dotage have jumped upon us, and our strength is weak and meager, and our soul’s enemies – which is the fire of the lusts – have increased and overpowered from all sides, almost without end [/beyond estimation]. And our souls are cast about in the depths of the mud and turbidity of the lusts of this world and its vanities, like a stone placed within a slingshot [Kaf HaKela]. And we are going [about] in the world wandering and vagabonding, confused, and extremely tossed about more than a ship that is lost in the middle [lit. heart] of the sea; and the storm wind is going and storming without any rest or quiescence. And there isn’t any parable or comparison with which to term and liken the immense mercy that there is upon us. And we have no solution or stratagems, except to run and fly to the Tzaddik – to roll in the mud and mortar, and to crawl on the hands and feet amongst snakes and scorpions until we merit to pump from the Divine spirit [Ruach Hakodesh] of the Tzaddik who, through Him there is no despair in the world whatsoever. And in any place, and at any time, and in all of the levels – on high and down low, even the estranged ones who became totally estranged from the holiness of Jewish people – even so, there is no giving up whatsoever. Because out of the magnitude of the power of His great and awesome wisdom, He reverses the actual bad to good, from apostasy to desire.

 

The main thing of all the apostasies and heresies of the scientists [lit. sages of nature] whom have strayed to where they have strayed, is through the defect in the faith of the renewal of the world; in that, through this defect they come to all sorts of errors. And their main subdual, and nullification of their minds is through the True Tzaddik who is of exceedingly great stature – the aspect of Moses Messiah – who has drawn Torah in order to enlighten and reveal the faith in the renewal of the world, and to eradicate and uproot the opinions of the scientists [lit. sages of nature] who deny in the renewal of the world. The immense awesomeness of the strength and power of the True Tzaddik, the Master of Power [Baal Koach] is the aspect of the “staff of strength” which sticks [lit. stands] with strength and force inside the throat [lit. chamber of swallowing] of the Other Side [Sitra Achra]. Until it is compelled to vomit every time, until these most estranged and execrable ones as well – who have already aged in their wickedness, and they have become extremely thick and corporeal, and they have gotten swallowed up inside the stomach of the Other Side, [to the point] that almost, almost [all] their hope, and their expectations are lost – [they] come and draw close to God, blessed He, and many neighbors are added to the holy gathering [Kibbutz] of the Tzaddik. And specifically through this, a wondrous rectification is done each time, until in the ultimate end everything will get rectified.

ליבי יקירי, מר זלמן שזר החושב מחשבות ותחבולות להודיע ולהאיר אור האמת בעולם. שהוא אור הצדיק האמת אור האורות בחינת אורו של משיח המאיר עלינו אור התגלות אלקותו יתברך גם במחשכים מרים ומרורים אשר בדור החושך הזה. ומשבר ומכניע ומשפיל מן העולם כל ספרי המינים והמחקרים הנוטים לצד מינות וכפירות. וכל הגאוה והממשלה של המנהיגים של שקר שמטילים שנאה ואיבה בין ישראל לאביהם שבשמיים. יצו ה' אתך את הברכה והחיים.

ימי זקנה ושיבה קפצו עלינו וכוחנו חלש ודל ושונאי נפשינו שהוא אש התאוות רבו וגברו מכל הצדדים כמעט בלי שיעור. ונפשינו מטורפת במצולות טיט עכירת תאוות עולם הזה והבליו כאבן הנתון בתוך כף הקלע. ואנו הולכים בעולם נע ונד מבולבל ומטורף מאד יותר מספינה התועה בלב ים והרוח סערה הולך וסוער בלי שום מנוחה והשקט. ואין שום משל ודמיון לכנות ולדמות עוצם הרחמנות שעלינו. ואין לנו שום עצה ותחבולה רק לנוס ולפרוח להצדיק. להתגולל ברפש וטיט ולרחוש על הידיים ורגליים בין נחשים ועקרבים עד שנזכה לשאוב מרוח הקודש של הצדיק אשר על ידו אין שום יאוש בעולם כלל. ובכל מקום ובכל זמן ובכל המדריגות למעלה ולמטה אפילו הרחוקים שנתרחקו לגמרי מקדושת ישראל אף על פי כן אין שום יאוש כלל. כי בעוצם כח חכמתו הגדול והנורא הוא מהפך עצם הרע לטוב. משמד לרצון.

עיקר כל הכפירות והאפיקורסית של חכמי הטבע שנתעו למקום שנתעו, הוא ע"י פגם אמונת חידוש העולם שעל ידי פגם זה באים לכל מיני טעותים ועיקר הכנעתם וביטול דעתם הוא ע"י הצדיק האמת הגדול במעלה מאד בחינת משה משיח שהמשיך תורה כדי להאיר ולגלות אמונת חידוש העולם. ולבטל ולעקור דיעות חכמי הטבע שכופרים בחידוש העולם. עוצם נוראות גבורתו וכוחו של הצדיק האמת הבעל כח הוא בחינת מטה עוז שעומד בחוזק ותוקף בתוך בית הבליעה של הסטרא אחרא. עד שמוכרחת להקיא הקאות בכל פעם עד שגם אלו הרחוקים והגרועים ביותר שכבר הזקינו ברשעתם ונתעבו ונתגשמו מאד ונבלעו בתוך בטן הסטרא אחרא, שכמעט כמעט אבדה תקותם ותוחלתם, באים ומתקרבים להשם יתברך ונתוספים שכנים רבים להקיבוץ הקדוש של הצדיק, ועל ידי זה דייקא נעשה תיקון נפלא בכל פעם, עד שסוף כל סוף יתתקן הכל.
