Preparing my menora for the eigth night I saw used wicks in all eight cups, which would indicate that last night I had lit all eight (although here in Uman, menorahs are used repeatedly by other people), so I asked good Saul if I was culpable, and he replied that I had lit seven and two shameshes - and we both immediately understood the implications, may HY save us from the fraudulent rabbis.
