In one of the Wikipedia's articles on chumetz they write the punishment for chumetz is kurais, and probably because they felt it was to fanatical to say death, they wrote that this is something like eternal damnation (much less fanatical...). BH kurais is means early death, exactly how early is debated in the commentaries on the Talmud, but thank GD it is not GF eternal damnation, one would still merit a portion in the future world.
