Letter 138[1]

 

My soul, my precious and dear one, Mr. Z. Shazar – who has focused his heart in order to entwine himself to the true truth which redeems from all the sufferings; which the whole world needs very, very much to accept Him. Peace, and all the best.

 

The essential Mitzva [Divine Commandment] of Chanukah is to ignite and enlighten the light of truth in the world so that all should merit to know where the True Tzaddik is – which He is the choicest of the truth from between the Tzaddikim.

By the lighting of the Chanukah flame, one must have mind that we should merit to thereby draw the enlightenment of the truth, and we will merit to always draw close to the Point of Truth.

The main miracle of Chanukah is that the evil empire was subdued – which it is the aspect of falsehood, the aspect of a slave, the filth of the [primordial] serpent; and the holy empire of the Jewish people overpowered and ascended – which they are the aspect of the Son of the King, the aspect of truth.

 

When the days are already approaching and the person has reached the time of his old age and his ultimate end, and the day begins to wane, and when one sees that the majority of his years have passed, and he wants to start having pity on himself – to think in repentance and to draw close to God, blessed He, in truth – then, for the most part, the Baal Dovor [Litigator / evil inclination / Satan] overpowers and expands greatly in order to prevent him from the path of life, and he doesn’t want to let him go out from his lusts and his traps in which he has become captured. And then is the main test of the person – he then must look in himself very much so, at his end and conclusion, and to overcome all the more so to bind himself thoroughly to the True Tzaddik who is the aspect of Moses Messiah who strengthens us with extremely great encouragement that is beyond measure, estimation, or number in order for us to be strong so that we start each time anew to draw close to God, blessed He, as if he was [/we were] born today, and to not fall from anything in the world.

נפשי יקירי וחביבי מר ז.שזר ששם את לבו לשזר עצמו אל האמת האמתי הפודה מכל הצרות אשר כל העולם צריכים מאד מאד לקבלו. שלום וכל טוב

עיקר מצוות חנוכה הוא להדליק ולהאיר אור האמת בעולם, שיזכו הכל לידע היכן הצדיק האמת שהוא מבחר האמת שבין הצדיקים: צריך לכוון בהדלקת נר חנוכה שנזכה עי"ז להמשיך הארת האמת ונזכה להתקרב לנקודת האמת תמיד.

עיקר הנס של חנוכה שנכנע מלכות הרשעה שהיא בחי' שקר בחי' עבד זוהמת הנחש ונתגבר ונתעלה מלכות דקדושה של ישראל שהם בחי' בן המלך בחינת אמת;

כשכבר הימים באים, והגיע האדם לעת זקנותו וקצו, ומתחיל היום לערוב וכשרואה שעברו רוב שנותיו, ורוצה להתחיל לרחם על עצמו להרהר בתשובה ולהתקרב להשי"ת באמת, אזי עפ"י רוב מתגבר הבעל דבר ומתפשט מאד למונעו מדרך החיים ואינו רוצה להניחו לצאת מתאותיו ורשתיו אשר נלכד בהם, ואזי עיקר הנסיון של האדם אז צריך להסתכל בעצמו מאד על אחריתו וסופו, ולהתגבר ביותר ויותר לקשר עצמו היטב אל הצדיק האמת שהוא בחינת משה משיח שמחזק אותנו בהתחזקות גדול מאד בלי שיעור וערך ומספר להתחזק להתחיל בכל פעם מחדש להתקרב להשי"ת כאילו היום נולד ולבלי ליפול משום דבר שבעולם.
