This was a post of mine of facebook, but it forsure deserves a post of its own:
HH Rabbi Akiva saw 24,000 of his students die before him, and he was undaunted, only when the romans combed his flesh with iron combs, did he rejoice saying that his whole life he had dreamed of giving his very utmost to HY. The holy body of Rabbi Akiva was apparently much more precious then 24,000 souls of Torah scholars. Na Nach Nachma Nachman Me'Uman.
