איתא בספר שיח שרפי קודש, חלק ב' אות קיט, זה לשונו:
אָמַר: "אֵינִי מִתְעָרֵב בְּעִנְיַן נוּסְחָאוֹת הַתְּפִלָּה" "אִיךְ מִישׁ זַאךְ נִישְׁט אִין נוּסְחָאוֹת", רַק זֹאת שֶׁבְּסִיּוּם בִּרְכַּת יִשְׁתַּבַּח צָרִיךְ לוֹמַר רַק "הַבּוֹחֵר בְּשִׁירֵי זִמְרָה מֶלֶךְ יָחִיד - חֵי הָעוֹלָמִים" לְלֹא תֵּיבַת
"אֵ-ל", כְּמוֹ שֶׁבְּבִרְכַּת "בָּרוּךְ שֶׁאָמַר" שֶׁבְּהַתְחָלַת פְּסוּקֵי דְּזִמְרָה אוֹמְרִים "יָחִיד חֵי הָעוֹלָמִים" לְלֹא תֵּיבַת אֵ-ל. עכ"ל
והנה נאמנות של ספר זה אומרים שהוא מקסימום כ60% אמת. אכן לכאורה היכן שממש מביאים לשונות של רבינו ביידיש סימן שזה יותר אמיתי, אבל מי יודע כוונתם, יתכן להיפוך. ולכן אף על פי שהייתי נוהג ככה בישתבח, כעת חזרתי על התיקונים חדשים של הרמח"ל (שנכתבו במעמד כל הפמליא של מעלה כמבואר שם) וכתוב שם (סוף תקון יג) בשם מט"ט שרא רבא בזה הלשון:
ורזא דא חי העולמים. ודא מזמור שיר ליום השבת מנוחה לחי העולמים. ובה אתמר הבוחר בשירי זמרה מלך אל חי העולמים עכ"ל לענינינו.
ולכאורה מבואר שהנסח שלהם כן היה עם תיבת "א-ל".

Than you so much! for all your amazing posts - i just got the light of many weeks of your chiddushim in one ma'amad!
I also only saw this "nusach" of the Rebbe in Yishtabach quite recently (within the last year?) I may have seen it in my "youth" but clearly completely forgotten...
I now try not to say "Kel" (when i remember and am not davening on autopilot - the autopilot settings haven't been permanently changed yet!)
It crossed my mind that (for me) Hisbatlus to the Rebbe (even if ch"v based on a mistake) is a sweeter tikun than the tikunim of the words themselves?

HH Forsure the main thing is the Rebbe. The question is if this an accurate tradition, because Siach SK is known to have a very high percentage of inaccurate and completely wrong stuff. Since I've been going without saying the Kel for years based on this tradition, I'm continuing, but had I seen this Ramchal, I don't know if I would have accepted the tradition in the first place.
