HH King Solomon the wisest of all men spoke a great deal about it, and rabbi Nussun elaborated even more about one of the greatest wisdoms: to be cognizant of the fact that one day you will leave this world forever with only the few good deeds and holy words and thoughts you managed to gain. If I remember correctly, Rabbi Nussun goes so far as to say that the greatness of the saints was contingent on their level of this cognizance.
