HH our holy Sages revealed that a person always desires double the amount of money he has, and a person doesn't die with attainment of half his desires.
Imagine the living hell the super rich must endure going around with the consuming desire and need for millions or billions of dollars! In fact Rabbainu revealed that the tzadik casts his enemies into this very hell of avarice! (And imagine what evils and atrocities a person of such standing would be tempted and prone to do, may HY save us).
Rabbainu also revealed that it is very difficult for brother Satan to even entice a person for such an ill fate, so he enriches 1% with fabolous wealth and parades them in front of the world, goading them on to try to chase after this unquenchable lust.
How can one escape this hideous trap? The Tzadik is the sanctuary, because the tzadik is the aspect of Shabbos, and on Shabbos we get double portion! So we get the complete fulfillment of the desires of our heart in one shot, complete satisfaction and inner peace.
