HH today I had great chalishus hadass because a mouse disturbed my concentration in my prayers, and I was thinking here I'm standing before HY and a little mouth can disturb me?!

BH later I saw that today's daf yomi Eruvin 65 Ruvuh says that even a louse can disturb his concentration - the same Ruvuh who was seen in such concentration that he was sitting on his fingers etc etc (Shabbos 87a) without realizing....

Only Rabbainu took on Uman

HH 25 Tishray, hillula of Rabbi Levi Yitzchok of Berditchev.

The Berditchever came to Uman to be the Rabbi of the city, and the residents - the leading "maskilim" (enlightened - apostate Jews who swore never to even mention Gd lest they have remorse) came to mock him in his face. The holy Berditchever couldn't even look at them, because it is forbidden to look at the wicked, and they continued to ridicule him and mock him out of the city.

When Rabbainu came to Uman he reversed the tables on them and had them eating out of his hand, and they began to repent and return to Torah observance.

Rabbainu's main disciple - Rabbi Nussun, was not either able to deal with apostates, and we don't find anyone in Breslov (and certainly not from anywhere else) that was able to deal with apostates until Saba Yisroel Dov Odesser who easily slid into this position found only by his master Rabbainu Na NaCh NaChMa NaChMaN MayUMaN.

In the name of the Baal Shem Tov o.b.m., that a knife is not given as a present, that is, that one should not give his friend a knife as a present.[1]

[1] If this is meant to be understood, it would seem to suggest that a present should not be an object which destroys, just as it is forbidden to apply metal to stones of the Sanctuary and alter, and similarly one should not have a knife on the table when saying the grace after the meal. It is interesting to note that the Hebrew word for knife – sakin, can be permutated to its anagram: nikhsi – my possession. This would imply and suggest a different reasoning to this directive, that a knife is considered to be a personal object to be safeguarded and not given away.

עירובין סד. לא יפטר אדם מחבירו אלא מתוך דבר הלכה שמתוך כך זוכרו, היינו זוכר את חבירו (עיין תנא דבי אליהו פ"ה ובילקוט מ"ב רמז רכד, שעל ידי אותו דבר הלכה יאמר "זכור איש פלוני לטוב שזו ההלכה קבע בידי"). ואע"ג דבכל מקום יש הקפידא חמורא לא להשתמש בדברי תורה אלא לשמה, הרי כל אותיות התורה הם נשמות ישראל, ועל ידי הלימוד מעוררים ומזווגים הנשמות כמובא. וזה מה שתני במסכת אבות, ודאשתמש בתגא חלף, היינו כאשר אחד מחלף ועובר מחבר יש להשתמש בתורה כדי שיזכרו.
וכן בהמשך הגמרא, המחזיק בנכסי הגר מה יעשה ויתקיימו בידו, יקח בהן ספר תורה ע"ש. הרי משתמש בספר תורה כדי להקים שם להגר, ולכן יקנה ספר תורה דייקא - דאילו לפי רב ששת שאמר אפילו בעל בנכסי אשתו, פרש"י סתם בעי למיעבד בהו מצוה, ולאו דוקא ספר תורה.
ולפי זה כאשר שני נשים נפטרות זו מזו, אין שום ענין שתהיה מתוך דבר הלכה.
