On Friday a friend told me that his son is a soldier who is in the IDF (-the Nanach have infiltrated all echelons of society, beware) called him up on Succos to tell him how he was miraculously saved from death, the tank he was in was hit, two shells inside exploded and a box of bullets ignites shooting them out all over the tank. Everyone was killed, and he escaped unscathed. There's much more to the story but that's the main gist of it. His son attributes being saved to his Nanach kamaya, and now wears it always.
Today at the Nanach center in Jerusalem we had a serious discussion why the kamaya didn't save everyone in the tank. S.A. said it must be that the kamaya is like a mitzvah bigoofoa - like tefillin, everyone has to do it themselves. Even still I asked why shouldn't the merit of the one who did it suffice to save everyone.
Messiah will answer all our questions. In the meantime Na NaCh NaChMa NaChMaN MAyUMaN
Great blessings of Na Nach Nachmu Nachman Meuman!
