Letter 118 

Baruch Hashem. 25 Elul, [5]729 (Monday – Sep. 8, 1969).

In honor of the president of Israel who is extremely cherished and important in the eyes of God and in the eyes of the Jewish people, Mr. S. Z. Shazar – who has entwined his heart in the Gushing Stream who consoles, rectifies, and rejoices everything. The One who makes news, shall renew upon you and your household a good year for good, long, healthy, and fresh life.

Be strong and be strong my brother, my cherished one, and rejoice, jubilate, and gladden your soul with the good present that God has given you out of the magnitude of His love and compassion upon you – this that you have merited to have mercy, to have mercy on the Jewish people, to bring to light the holy / small[1] book, Ebay Hanachal [Blossoms of the Spring] – which almost all of it are the words of Rabbeinu z”l which can transform the entire world from bad to good, from darkness to light. This book is already producing great effects in the world, and it is a sweetening and a great salvation for the Jewish people, and a giant downfall for all our enemies. In the coming generations they will tell over a lot about [lit. on] this book.

Stand by and see this great, awesome, and lofty matter which God has wondrously performed with you, a wonder of wonders; and your counsel has tasted the blissfulness of the honey of wisdom of the True Tzaddik, the Gushing Stream in which all of our redemption is dependent on. Look out for yourself and guard your soul exceedingly, lest you forget the things which the eyes of your intellect have seen, and that which your ears have heard from the day that we merited to connect with love in the True Tzaddik on the 15^th day of Shevat, [5]717 (Wed. night – Jan 17, 1957) until this day. Fortunate are we in that we have merited to know a bit of a bit from the novelty of novelties, so wondrous, awesome, and lofty the likes of which have never ever existed [before] – which He is a consolation and a healing for all that transpires with us [lit. goes over us] now, which is [at] the end of the exile. Fortunate are we in that we know from the One who engages in the rectification of our souls and the souls of all the Jewish people for all generations. May God save us to start from now on [with] a new beginning to become bound and attached in the True Tzaddik with a complete heart, until we merit to comprehend His awesome greatness and to instill it in the hearts of all the Jewish people, and they will all be formed into one union to do your will wholeheartedly.

Behold, the whole world knows that Eretz Yisroel [Israel] is given from God to the Jewish nation; and in the beginning, Eretz Yisroel was in our hands and jurisdiction. And in these days, God has done a great salvation for [lit. to] the Jewish people, and He has given us the Land and the complete and holy Jerusalem in the Six-Day [War] through great and awe-inspiring miracles and wonders; and He has smitten the great lion, Russia, [with] a massive blow, and Syria, Jordan, Egypt, and other Arab countries which have surrounded me from all sides in order to annihilate and destroy us, God forbid.

And now, after these awesome things which God has done with the Jewish people, all the non-Jews, and even the nations that show themselves to be like lovers and friends, they are taunting and accusing us, and they are thinking of our evil; they grind their teeth against us, they sharpen their tongue like a snake and say to us, “You are robbers in that you have conquered the Land and the holy city, the complete Jerusalem, our capital city, from the hands of Hussein and Nasser whom want to wipe us out, God forbid. God should wipe them out for all eternity, and the seekers of our souls shall be ashamed and humiliated; He should rain upon them fire from Heaven until He destroys them, and their remembrance should be cut off from the earth.

לכבוד נשיא ישראל החביב וחשוב מאד בעיני ה" ובעיני כל ישראל מר ש.ז.שזר אשר שזר את לבו בהנחל נובע המנחם ומתקן ומשמח את הכל. עושה חדשות יחדש עליך ועל ביתך שנה טובה לחיים טובים ארוכים בריאים ורעננים.

חזק וחזק אחי חביבי ותגיל ותשיש ותשמח נפשך בהמתנה טובה אשר נתן לך ה" בגודל אהבתו וחמלתו עליך מה שזכית לרחם לרחם על ישראל להוציא לאור הספר ה"ק אִבֵיִ הנחל אשר כמעט כולו הוא דברי רבינו ז"ל שיכול להפוך כל העולם מרע לטוב, מחושך לאור. ספר זה כבר עושה פעולות גדולות בעולם והוא המתקה וישועה גודלה לישראל. ומפלה גדולה לכל שונאינו. בדורות הבאים יספרו הרבה על זה הספר.

התיצב וראה הדבר הגדול נורא ונשגב הזה אשר הפליא ה" עמך פלא פלאות וטעם טעמך נעימת דבש החכמה של הצדיק האמת נחל נובע שכל גאולתינו תלוי בזה. השמר לך ושמור נפשך מאד פן תשכח את הדברים אשר ראו עיני שכלך ואשר שמעו אוזניך מיום שזכינו להתקשר באהבה בהצדיק האמת ביום ט"ו שבט תשי"ז עד היום הזה. אשרינו שזכינו לידע מעט דמעט מחידוש שבחידושים פלא נורא נשגב כזה שלא היה לעולמים שהוא נחמה ורפואה על כל מה שעובר עלינו עכשיו שהוא סוף הגלות. אשרינו שאנחנו יודעים מהעוסק בתיקון נפשותינו ונפשות כל ישראל לדור דור. ה" יושיע לנו להתחיל מעתה התחלה חדשה להתקשר ולהתדבק בהצדיק האמת בלב שלם עד שנזכה להבין גדולתו הנוראה ולהכניסו בלב כל ישראל ויעשו כולם אגודה אחת לעשות רצונך בלב שלם.

הנה כל העולם יודע כי ארץ ישראל ניתנה מאת ה" לעם ישראל. ובתחילה היה ארץ ישראל בידינו ורשותינו, ובימינו אלה עשה ה" תשועה גדולה לישראל ונתן לנו את הארץ ואת ירושלים השלימה הקדושה בששת ימים בנסים ומופתים גדולים ונוראים. ויך את הארי הגדול רוסיה מכה גדולה ואת סוריה וירדן ומצרים ושאר מדינות ערביות אשר סבבוני מכל צד לכלותינו ולהשמידינו ח"ו.

ועתה אחרי הדברים הנוראים האלה אשר עשה ה" עם ישראל, כל הגויים ואפילו האומות שמראים עצמם כאוהבים וידידים מקנטרים ומקטרגים עלינו וחושבים רעתינו חרקו שינם עלינו ושננו לשונם כמו נחש ואומרים לנו גזלנים אתם שכבשתם את הארץ ואת עיר הקודש ירושלים השלימה עיר הבירה שלנו מידי חוסיין ונאצר הרוצים להשמידינו ח"ו. ישמידם ה" עדי עד ויבושו ויכלמו מבקשי נפשינו, ימטיר עליהם אש מן השמים עד כלותם ויכרת מן הארץ זכרם.
