Letter 73
BH,
28th of Iyar, [5]723 (Wednesday – May 22, 1963).
“God
has made this day [the day of redemption],
we will rejoice and be jubilant in it” (Psalms 118:24).
In
honor of the president of the Jewish state, Mr. Z. Shazar, who is distinguished
by the greatness [and] preciousness of his noble
soul which is hewn from a holy source – from the Jewish greats, the pillars of
the Torah, Zatz”al [the memory of Tzaddikim should be
for blessing]; who has diverted his mind and heart to pay heed to
the voice of God who calls out to him with a great voice every day that he
should draw himself with great zeal to the True Tzaddik who possesses the
magnetizing power to draw and bring the whole world close to God, blessed He. [May
it be for a] good sign and good fortune, for blessing, life, and harmony
to no end, for you and your family [lit. house],
and for all that is yours.
When
honor or power [Malchus]
comes to a Jewish person, he then needs great exertion and [to
wage] a
great battle – to overcome with all the strength
and heroism like a mighty and courageous warrior – in order to abnegate his honor
[so
that it be] like actual nothingness and zeroness opposite the
honor of God, blessed He; and he shouldn’t exploit the honor for his own
purposes and pleasure, and he shouldn’t take anything whatsoever from the honor
for himself – so that the power [Malchus] shouldn’t
be by him like a slave in order to fill his lusts, God forbid. Only, [he
should see to it] to elevate the honor and power that he
possesses to God, blessed He, so that by way of this honor and power, the honor
of God, blessed He, and the honor of the True Tzaddik will grow and ascend – who
draws everyone close to God, blessed He – even the estranged, rejected, and lost
ones whom have fallen into the depths of hell and thereunder, to no end and
limit; He elevates and binds them from the depths of the vast abyss – on high,
on high, high as the mighty mountains – which through this specifically, the
honor of God is made surpassingly greater and more exalted in all the worlds.
I
rejoice, yes, I rejoice in the salvation of God, and His enormous loving-kindness
– in that in His overwhelming wondrous compassion He has evolved and brought
about that you have been chosen as the president of the State – after the passing
of five years in which you have merited to renew yourself and to sprout in the
holy and awesome Garden of Life of the True Tzaddik, the new light – which is exceedingly
sequestered, hidden, and concealed; which He is the main life; who has originated
new things, awesome things, and wondrous things – wonders of wonders which
cannot be fathomed, that which has never ever yet been revealed – in order to keep
us alive like this day, also in the utmost, utmost complete darkness which
exists in these generations of ours, at the end of this bitter, final exile –
in which the Jewish people are now straying very much so after the nonsense [and]
delusions
of those who are wise in their own eyes, whom have retreated backwards from
God, blessed He, and His holy Torah by way of the filth and impurity of the
falsehood of the apostasies and false beliefs, may God spare us.
“One
who wants to do a favor for the Tzaddik, the Holy One, blessed He, gives him the
power for this” (Sefer Hamidos, Tzaddik:110).
My
brother, my brother, my heart and flesh, it has now, yes now, already come the
time and hour that you should delve your mind in order to think and desire with
all his [third
person]
soul to bring out to actuality the conflagration of your good heart which blazes
like fire [up] until the heart of the heavens to
have mercy upon the Jewish people with the true compassion which is greater
than all sorts of compassion – to enlighten in their hearts the light of the
Tzaddik who shines from [one] end of the world to its [other]
end; and to make known and famous in the world that there is now found with us
an awesome, exalted true Sage – which there was never ever yet anyone like Him –
to enliven all the fallen souls which have increased as they
have increased, in these generations.
It
is [incumbent]
upon
us to rejoice and dance wholeheartedly with great happiness that we have
merited to know from the One who engages in our rectification for eternity in
every generation. And oi vavoi [woe, woe] upon
them – the opposers and detractors against the one who engages in the rectification
of their souls at all times. And even though they are opposing as they are
opposing, and they are ridiculing as they are ridiculing – even so, in the
ultimate end the truth will become revealed before the eyes of all, until all the distribution of the honor will be by the truth. And then,
everyone will certainly run to serve God in truth, and to draw close to the
True Tzaddik who is the main completeness of the truth.
The transcriber and arranger, who seeks his wellbeing and salvation
at all times, in this [world] and the upcoming [world], [who]
blesses him with instructive blessings and a kosher and happy holiday over our
redemption and the rescuing of our souls; the one who awaits and anticipates to
see him today in order [for him] to rejoice with us together over our happiness:

עשה ה' נגילה ונשמחה בו.
לכבוד נשיא מדינת
ישראל, מר ש.ז. שזר, המצוין בגדולת יקרת נפשו האצילה, שנחצבה ממקור קודש, מגדולי
ישראל עמודי התורה, זצ"ל. שהיטה דעתו ולבבו לשמוע בקול ה' הקורא אותו בקול
גדול בכל יום שימשיך עצמו בזריזות גדול אל הצדיק האמת שיש לו כוח המושך להמשיך
ולקרב כל העולם לה' יתברך. סימן טוב ומזל טוב לברכה ולחיים ולשלום אין קץ לך
ולביתך ולכל אשר לך.
כשאחד מישראל בא
לו כבוד ומלכות, אזי צריך יגיעה גדולה ומלחמה גדולה, להתגבר בכל עוז וגבורה כגיבור
חזק ואמיץ, לבטל כבודו כאין וכאפס ממש נגד כבוד השם יתברך ולא ישתמש עם הכבוד
לצרכו ולהנאת עצמו ולא יקח לעצמו כלל מן הכבוד, שלא יהיה המלכות אצלו כעבד למלאות
תאותו, חס ושלום, רק להעלות הכבוד והמלכות שיש לו להשם יתברך, כדי שעל ידי זה
הכבוד והמלכות, יתגדל ויתעלה כבוד השם יתברך וכבוד הצדיק האמיתי, שמקרב הכל להשם
יתברך, אפילו הרחוקים והנדחים והנאבדים שנפלו לשאול תחתיות ומתחתיו עד אין קץ
ותכלית, הוא מעלה ומקשר אותם מעמקי תהום רבה - למעלה למעלה גבוה כהררי אל, שעל ידי
זה דיקא נתייקר ונתעלה כבוד השם יתברך ביותר בכל העולמות.
שוש אשיש בישועת
ה' וחסדיו העצומים, שגילגל וסיבב ברוב רחמיו הנפלאים, שנבחרת לנשיא המדינה. אחרי
עבור חמישה שנים שזכית להתחדש ולצמוח בגן החיים הקדוש והנורא של הצדיק האמת, אור
החדש, הגנוז וצפון ונעלם מאד, שהוא עיקר החיים, שחידש חדשות נוראות ונפלאות, פלאי
פלאות עד אין חקר שלא נתגלו עדיין מעולם, כדי לחיותנו כהיום הזה גם בתכלית תכלית
החושך הגמור אשר בדורותינו אלה, בסוף הגלות האחרון המר הזה, שישראל תועים עכשיו
מאד אחרי הבל תעתועים של החכמים בעיניהם שנסוגו אחור מהשם יתברך ותורתו הקדושה, על
ידי זוהמת וטומאת השקר של כפירות ואמונות כזביות, רחמנא ליצלן.
"מי שרוצה לעשות טובה להצדיק, הקדוש ברוך הוא נותן
לו כוח לזה".
אחי, אחי, ליבי
ובשרי, עתה עתה כבר הגיע העת והשעה שתעמיק מחשבתך לחשוב ולחשוק בכל נפשו להוציא
לפועל תבערת ליבך הטוב הבוער כאש עד לב השמים לרחם על ישראל ברחמנות האמיתי הגדול
מכל מיני רחמנות, להאיר בליבם אור הצדיק המאיר מסוף העולם ועד סופו, ולהודיע
ולפרסם בעולם שנמצא עכשיו אצלנו חכם אמת נורא ונשגב שעדין לא היה כמוהו מעולם,
להחיות כל הנפשות הנפולות אשר רבו כמו רבו בדורות הללו.
עלינו לשמוח
ולרקד בלב שלם בשמחה גדולה שזכינו לידע מהעוסק בתיקוננו לנצח בכל דור. ואוי ואבוי
להם להחולקים והמתנגדים על העוסק בתיקון נפשיהם בכל עת. ואף על פי שהם חולקים כמו
שחולקים ומתלוצצים כמו שמתלוצצים, אף על פי כן סוף כל סוף יתגלה האמת לעין כל עד
שכל חלוקת הכבוד יהיה אצל האמת ואז בודאי הכל ירוצו לעבוד את ה' באמת ולהתקרב
לצדיק האמת שהוא עיקר שלמות האמת.
המעתיק והמסדר
הדורש שלומו וישועתו בכל עת בזה ובבא, מברכו בברכות מאלפות וחג כשר ושמח על
גאולתינו ופדות נפשינו. המחכה ומצפה לראותו היום לשמוח איתנו יחד על שמחתנו.
