Letter 83
BH. 27 Shevat [5]724 (Monday – February
10, 1964).
In honor of the president of Israel, my
ally [lit.
man of my covenant],
my heart and flesh, Mr. S. Z. Shazar – who pumps the spirit of wisdom that
emanates from the mind of the Tzaddik, the True Sage, which from [one] end of the world to its [other] end no one has arose like Him – who incinerates
and eradicates the falsehood, the spirit of insanity, and the error of the atheism
and false beliefs that are destroying the world. May God remove from you all
sorts of sicknesses and afflictions, and may He give you long life, good life –
that which the Beggars blessed the holy couple [therewith]. Yehuda and
Jerusalem shall be saved in your days.
Know my brother, that the magnificent
address ending with the verse (Micah 4:5): “Man will go[1] in the name of his god, and we will
go in the Name of the Lord, our God for ever and ever” – which came out from
your mouth and your hot heart with deep wisdom, with an immense fervidness and
enthusiasm during the meeting with the known pilgrim [the pope – this
happened on Jan. 5, 1964]
– has made a great impression and commotion in all the worlds, and everyone admires
and esteems him [third
person]
until it’s more than sufficient [ad bli dai]!
See, my brother, my bone and flesh, [from] the strong and intense
love that is in my heart to you; I have put before you the good life of the
True Tzaddik who is the encompassment of all the seven awesome Beggars. And you
shall choose in these true lives, so that you live and prolong days over your
reign for [the]
name
and glorification of the Jewish people in the land that God has given us with a
strong hand, and with signs and wonders in Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and all the
nations which have “encircled me roundabout” (Psalms 118:11) from all sides to
wipe us out, God forbid. Do this now, my brother, and be saved like a bird from
the hand of the snare (See
Proverbs 6:3,5):
subjugate yourself like a trodden doorstep regarding the True Tzaddik, and
deprive your eyes from sleep and slumber from your eyelids in order to search
and seek with all the [remaining]
residue
of your strength, and to increase prayer and supplication before God, blessed
He, that He should have pity and mercy on us [so that we] find speedily the
Tzaddik, the True Leader, who is of exceedingly great stature – the aspect of
Moses Messiah – who has the power to heal terminally ill people such as we,
today in the end of the exile, and [who] endeavors in the rectification of our
souls, and [who]
enlightens
in us conceptions of Divineness in order to bring us to the ultimate purpose [tachlis] for which we were
created.

לכבוד נשיא
ישראל, איש בריתי, ליבי ובשרי, מר ש.ז.שזר, השואב רוח חכמה היוצא ממוח הצדיק החכם
האמת אשר מסוף העולם ועד סופו לא קם כמוהו, המבער ומבטל השקר ורוח שטות וטעות של
המינות ואמונות כוזביות המחריבים את העולם, יסיר ה' ממך כל מיני חולי ומדוה, ויתן
לך חיים ארוכים, חיים טובים, שברכו הבעטלירס את הזוג הקדוש. בימיך תושע יהודא
וירושלים.
דע, אחי, כי
הנאום הנפלא בסיום הפסוק: "ילכו איש בשם אלהיו ואנחנו נלך בשם ה' אלוקינו
לעולם ועד", אשר יצא בחכמה עמוקה מפיך וליבך החם בחמימות והתלהבות עצום בעת
הפגישה עם הצליין הידוע, עשה רושם ורעש גדול בכל העולמות, וכולם מעריצים ומוקירים
אותו עד בלי די!

ובשרי, מאהבה עצומה וחזקה אשר בליבי אליך נתתי לפניך את החיים טובים של הצדיק האמת
שהוא כלליות כל השבעה בעטלירס הנוראים. ובחרת בחיים אמיתיים האלה למען תחיה והארכת
ימים על ממלכתך לשם ולתפארת ישראל בארץ אשר נתן לנו ה' ביד חזקה ובאותות ומופתים
במצרים וירדן וסוריא וכל העמים אשר סבוני גם סבבוני מכל הצדדים להשמידנו חס ושלום.
עשה זאת איפוא אחי והנצל כציפור מיד יקוש, הכניע את עצמך כאסקופה הנדרסת לגבי
הצדיק האמת ונדד שינה מעיניך ותנומה מעפעפיך לחפש ולבקש בכל תמצית כוחך ולהרבות
תפילה ותחנונים לפני השם יתברך שיחוס ויחמול עלינו למצוא מהרה הצדיק המנהיג האמת
הגדול במעלה מאד בחינת משה משיח שיש לו כוח לרפאות חולים אנושים כמונו היום בסוף
הגלות ומשתדל בתיקון נפשינו ומאיר בנו השגות אלוקות להביאנו אל התכלית הטוב אשר
לכך נוצרנו.
