Likutay Moharan - Volume 2 - Torah-teaching 56

Likutay Moharan II, Torah 56: When a Person Has a Heart, Place Does Not Pertain to Him at All

When a person has a lev [heart], makom [place] does not pertain to him at all. For on the contrary, he is the makom of the world, and so forth. For divinity is in the lev, as it is written: “Rock of my heart” (Psalms 73:26). And regarding Hashem, blessed be He, it is said: “Behold, a place is with Me” (Exodus 33:21), that He is the makom of the world, and the world is not His makom (see Rashi there; Bereshis Rabbah there). It is found that one who has an Israelite lev is not fitting to say that this place is not good before him, for makom does not pertain to him at all. For on the contrary, he is the makom of the world, and the world is not his makom, as mentioned above.
