UFO Sightings

Recently the US military declassified some of their files on UFOs, and much more serious consideration is being given to them around the world. Some of the sightings seem to defy laws of physics, at least according to the current knowledge. Maybe it's magic. The medrashim speak of such things. 

Then there are holy UFOs like Rabbi Chaim Vital, as recounted here:

Baruch Hashem. Chai [=18] Elul, [5]731 (Wednesday – Sep. 8, 1971).

 

In honor of the president of Israel, the delight of my eye, who dwells in my heart ceaselessly, Mr. S. Z. Shazar – who wishes to tread in the pathways of wisdom of the Gushing Stream, the Father of all sages who enlightens the eyes of the Jewish people how to escape from the torrent of floodwaters of atheisms and faiths of insanity, nonsense, nothingness, and falsehood. Because of this, God has desired in him and brought about wondrous causes until our connection and unification became established and solidified – which from this a wonderchild was born to us: ִEֵbay Hanachal [Blossoms of the Spring], of which all are astonished, in wonderment, and amazed over him, and they accept him with great love, affection, and delight; for he is giving the Jewish people to drink [the] waters of truth which gush from the Gushing Stream. God should inscribe and sign you with a good and sweet year, and He should attach and unify you in the True Leader for good, long, healthy, and fresh life, Amen.

 

Blessed is the One who is good and does good, blessed is the One who bestows good loving-kindnesses to His Jewish nation. We are obligated to give thanks and praise to God over all the good He has bestowed upon you and upon all the Jewish people – in that He has kept [lit. placed] your soul in life, and He hasn’t allowed your feet to slip (based on Psalms 66:9). God who knows the secrets of the heart, He knows how, oh how much I am pained from [lit. in] your pain, and the prayers and crying that I pour out for you before the Master of Mercy so that He should have compassion and mercy on you and on His Jewish nation, and He should send His word and heal and recuperate you in completeness for good [and] long life, a life of faith and complete repentance in the power and merit of all the Tzaddikim, and at their head – the True Leader of this generation and all the generations – He is the awesome Rabbeinu, Rebbe ַNa ַNaְch ַNaְchָma ַNaְchָman MayUman.

 

I rely myself upon the attribute of your goodness and the compassion of your heart in order to request favor and forgiveness over this that I haven’t written until now. For I am ill and enduring extremely enormous, harsh, and bitter pains and suffering; and I am imprisoned in my home and I don’t have any connection with the world. May God have mercy and say to our tragedies, “Enough”. The donation amounting to one-hundred Israeli Liras was of assistance for the recent Holiday of Passover – I received it on the 13^th day of Nissan, [5]731. Also, the donation amounting to two-hundred-fifty Israeli Liras that you sent me through my son-in-law Chaim, I have received it in its appointed and proper time. May God repay him [for] his good act [with] a healing and salvation in body and soul, and healthy and blissful life for the length of days. He must overcome with all the strengths in order to distance the sadness and to be only happy always in this that he has merited to know from the secret of the greatness of Rabbeinu, the Light of Lights, the awesome wonder that is sequestered and concealed from all the worlds – N’achal N’oveia M’kor C’hochma[1] [Gushing Stream, Source of Wisdom] who is a medicine for all sorts of sicknesses in body and soul.

 

I yearn with expiration of the soul to behold the pleasantness of his countenance, and in particular on the eve of Rosh Hashana as is my custom every year. The words of your servant and lover with all [his] heart who prays constantly for your wellbeing, health, and good in this [world] and the upcoming [world]:

תשובה סב. מי שמגלה סודותיו, אז קשה לדבר הזה להתקיים, ע"כ. לכאורה זה הענין שרבינו הזכיר בחיי מוהר"ן קצו, אחר שגילה איזה דיבור בסוד נחמן נתן, אמר שזה מעשה בעל דבר כדי שיהיה קשה וכבד ביותר אחר כך.

הביאו סמוכים מספר משלי (טו:כב) הפר מחשבות באין סוד. ובספר בית לוי הוסיף שלרוב דברים השתיקה והצניעות יפה להם, ואין הברכה שורה אלא בדבר הסמוי מן העין (תענית ח:), עיין שם. וקצת רמז מהפסוק, הולך רכיל מגלה סוד, שהמגלה סוד לא יוכל לעמוד לקיימו ויצטרך לסבב בעירות כמו רוכל.

ולכאורה מטעם זה האשה השונמית (מלכים ב:ד:ח-) שבנה מת, ורצתה שאלישע יחיהו, לא גילתה לבעלה למה היא הולכת אליו.

ויש גם ענין של הוראת מעשיו לבני אדם, כמו שהזהיר הנועם אלימלך בצעטיל קטן: שלא יהיה בדיבורו שום שקר ח"ו, ושום חנופה וכו' וכו' ולא שום הראות מעשיו לבני אדם, ע"כ.

וזה מבואר יותר בשערי קדושה (ב:ד) מובא בחק לישראל, פרשת ויקהל יום הששי, בחלק המוסר ז"ל הוראת מעשיו לבריות, ידעת מה שאמרו רז"ל ענין אותה האשה שהיתה נענשת בגיהנם על שהיתה מספרת לחברתה היום התעניתי וכו' ולא די שאינו מקבל שכר אלא שנדון בגיהנם, כי הרי מגלה דעתו שאין מעשיו כלל לשם שמים, והוא מכלל הפרושים פרוש נקפי פרוש קיזאי וכו', ואמרו רז"ל לעולם יהא אדם ירא שמים בסתר ויהיה כל דרכיו לשמים, ואם יכול אדם שיעשה כל דרכיו לשמים ולא יפרש לבריות אפלו אחד מהן שכרו כפול ומכפל מפני שכבוד אלקים הסתר דבר עד כאן לשונם, עכ"ל.

Baruch Hashem. Chol HaMoed Pe Sach[1], [5]730 (April, 1970).

 

In honor of the president of Israel whom all the Jewish people love and regard fondly, and they wildly acclaim and are amazed at the pleasantness [of the] refinement and nobility of his supremely magnificent and lofty soul which was hewn from a supernal, holy, and awesome source: Mr. S. Z. Shazar – who’s soul aches over the Jewish nation, and [who] gives up his life for them in order to bring them into the Chamber of King Messiah, a Gushing Stream of salvations and wonders, wonders of wonders to no end – with which He heals all the afflictions and leprosy of this generation and all the coming generations. Fortunate is your portion in that you have merited to this. God should guard him and enliven him for eternity.

 

It is [incumbent] upon us to bless the blessing of “Who has enlivened us” [Shehecheyanu] with great happiness and immeasurable bliss: “Blessed are you God, our Almighty the King of the Universe, who has enlivened us and sustained us and brought us to this time” – in that he has merited to extract to actuality his great passion and desire to have mercy on the Jewish people with the printing of the book, ִEֵbay Hanachal [Blossoms of the Spring], which was born from the true love, connection, and bond that God has made between us with a wondrous and awesome miracle and wonder, with His Providence and compassion for our good and for the good of the Collective Jewish people in order to save them from the trap[s] [and] mines, from the watery depths, from the shadowy depths of the sea, from the slimy deep bog and there is no foothold.
