Everyone has what they look forward to, whether it's making money, watching a movie, or whatever. The point is that one should make his main anticipation connecting with Hashem Yisburach. Even if it is only going to be for a few moments, that should be his highlight and what he craves and looks forward to. The coffee, tea, or whatever else it is that helps make him alert and more cognizant, should be only to prepare for this encounter. When reviewing one's day and evaluating how it went, the major factor weighing in should primarily be just this - how well did he connect today with HY, was it stronger than previously, the same or Gf less? What new technique did he learn, what new understanding of HY did he gain? How is he going to connect stronger next time, and in between...

Snorting caffeine in the morning before shacharis (prayers)

It is really forbidden to eat and drink before the prayers, however nowadays we are extremely lenient in this matter because even though we are living much longer (emptier) lives, we are much much weaker and frail, and therefore we allow ourselves to snack before the prayer. However, obviously this should be kept to the barest minimum. So the question presents itself, if a person can get the caffeine kick he needs by snorting it, should he not be forbidden to drink coffee? Even still, it seems in my humble opinion that this is not incumbent, because snorting caffeine is not the regular operation of the body, and therefore one does not have to resort to it, I would even go so far to say, that better than being a fanatic about this and insisting on snorting your caffeine, just drink it like everybody else. There are great secrets in coffee (one should have double coffee 2*185 to get 370 lights of the supernal countenance...).
