The Spirit of Prophecy at the End of Times

Scripture says (see e.g. Joel 3:1) that at the end of days HY will culture a spirit of prophecy in the world so that even the children will prophesize. It seems to me that this began at the same time as the advent of tv and movies, all the venues of the make believe, of the imagination and fantasy, settings of day dreaming, these are all parallels corelating to putting one's mind in the spiritual realms. And now with the advent of the meta world, and idea which really became strong with the movie of the matrix, and is now becoming more of a (false) reality, this is a sure sign that such a thing can now readily be achieved in holiness, the portal is now becoming accessible to actually live in a spiritual reality of absolute rapture.

May we be saved from what we need to be saved from, and merit to what we can merit.

Gain perspective

In Proverbs it says “In all your ways know Him,” Ruvuh said (Brachos) this refers even to endeavors of sin. Many commentaries have elaborated on this. Here I will present one practical approach. Even when a person is convinced that he needs to do something wrong he should approach it with the intent to do good. For example, a person might feel that he needs to watch a movie or television, even though he knows that this is the epitome of the sitra-achra (-evil realm), for Rabbainu has revealed that today the main affair of the sitra-achra is imagination and fantasy. The actual world we live in, our holy sages have already made clear that it is all a façade, and they tried to share with us how to live the true reality of the Torah. However television and movies further enshrouds the world in layers of void and emptiness that subject a person to live in wishy-washy paradigms of delusion. All of this a person knows, and yet he might still need his fix, he might not be able to just break out cold turkey. So the aitzuh (-recourse, advice) is that before he sits down in capitulation, he should make a little disclaimer, and say a few words to his Creator. Let him turn to HY and express his intent, that even though he knows that he shouldn’t be watching this, even still in order to give himself a well needed break from the stresses of the day and all the responsibilities weighing upon him, he feels that this is what he needs, and by watching this he will be able to unwind and regain his breath and strength to get back in their etc..” With this little rejoinder a person will gain eternally, for just the fact that he spoke honest heartfelt words to HY is precious beyond measure, and also now he has steered himself to actually strive to accomplish good objectives, and maybe even he will come to conclude that to reach this clear objective he is better off watching a different show, something more educational and softer on the soul, and in the future he will definitely slowly aim to achieve his stated objective in a better, holier fashion. He will avoid watching shows that are just frivolous and licentious, and he will avoid shows that have vulgar language which completely destroys all holy boundaries and brings death and destruction, may the holy Merciful One save us. He will start to only watch shows that he can find in them some justification and purpose. Eventually he may merit to wean himself off the tube completely B”H.

The Way to Uman

Rabbi Nussun said he would go to Uman to Rabbainu even if the roads were paved with razors....

So one of my friends wrote to me:

S.G. My son's mashgiach told him last Elul that if he sees a movie on the way to Uman, then its not worth going. It is brought down (don't remember exactly where) that there were a group of chasidim that were trying to make it on foot to Uman in a time of extreme danger and they had to go at night very surreptitiously etc., but they refused to forgo any nuance whatsoever of Judaism, they insisted on immersing in the mikva every day and not missing out on the reading of the Torah or anything, which meant that they often had to backtrack to a previous place. But I'm not sure if they made it.

Watching TV and movies is like playing dolls

This seems to me very attributable to rabbis.... Personally I would say that it is like daydreaming, and we need Na Nach to fix our imagination and fantasy - as revealed in Likutay Moharan volume 2 Torah 8.

Slaves of Time

Movies drag a person down into the confines of time. This is something that becomes apparent especially when reading the awesome exposition of Rabbi Nussun in Likutay Halachos (Yoreh Daya 2), Laws of Circumcision (4), where he elaborates on the principles Rabbainu revealed about time, mainly that in reality there is no time, just according to the deficiency of daas, as can be seen with dreams when one isn't cognizant a few minutes can seem like eternity with elaborate plots of tens of years transpiring, so time imposes itself proportionately, so that the more daas one has the less he is restrained by time, and his time includes in it vast inordinate amounts of time of those with lesser daas, and a true tzadik has daas which transcends time altogether. This Rabbainu revealed in his Stories of Ancient Times, the story of the Seven Beggars, the Blind Beggar of the first day, is connected to the sense of sight. Thus the Blind Beggar who merited to transcend time was completely blind of the physicality of this world, which didn't amount in his eyes to even an eyeblink. According to the kabala, sight is a feminine sense, and the person who is seeing is on the receiving end. Rabbi Nussun explains a theme found already in Kabala and chasidus that time is a feminine aspect, time specific, the 28 different time enumerated in Koheles, all of these designations are the female aspects which is the vessel for those specific times, each one in its own right. These times constrain a person in their confines, for in reality there is no time, there is just this aspect that the female is the vessel for those times, to be filled and raised to eternity. Thus Rabbi Nussun asserts it is the duty of the male to raise the female to transcend time. This of course is accomplished through keeping the Torah and Mitzvoas which are the vehicles of transposing this world to the infinite. The letters of the Torah and each mitzva are also the aspect of female vessels, and they bring those that induce them to transcend time and the finite properties of this world. Thus when one put his eyes to see the physical world as it is without looking for the Torah inside, especially television, sports, and movies which are intent on captivating a person to concentrate on the physicality of the screenplay, the observer is dragged and incarcerated more in more into the trappings of time and becomes more and more subservient to the confines of time, like inducing a dream, he puts his consciousness deeper and deeper into deficiency of daas and will suffer the increasing dominance of time.

Wake up to Reality! Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman!

Technology and Substances have greatly helped the world understand the probability of man tenets of our faith which previously were just that – faith, and now understood to be matter of facts. Like the telephone – making it a given that one can speak to HY whenever and wherever, and the cameras – making it a given that everything we say and do is recorded. And of course there is now augmented and virtual reality which is rapidly progressing. Previously I posted how the movie Matrix might have been inspired by the holy Petek, that movie made a huge impression and impact on the world, powerfully raising awareness of an idea which is just growing stronger and stronger – that our very lives, all our movements, interactions, and dealings, are just projections of the perspective of our minds which might be and can be programmed to experience all life events. Studies and experiments with lsd and other hallucinogens make it clear that people can easily be introduced to life in an alternative reality. These themes are already rampant in the movies and tv. Recently a very popular tv show – Criminal Minds – ran a whole program based on a villain who would drug people and have them live a completely different reality. In the end the villain captures a high member of the fbi and induces her with his drugs having her believe that she is crippled and in severe unbearable excruciating pain. Ultimately the lady breaks out of the spell by virtue of an age old teaching of Our Holy Sages that when one is completely inundated under duress of his evil inclination GF, which imprisons and captures his mind and thoughts, and even Torah learning doesn't break him free, he should remember the day of death – and by contemplating her death, this woman realizes that her entire existence as a cripple is falsehood, and she breaks out. At the end of the show she tells her team that the only thing that kept her going until she was able to break out was by repeating a mantra – no it wasn't Nanach, because Nanach works on the first shot, nuclear bombs don't need to be clustered – "wheels up" – which for various reasons elicits the holy teaching of Rabbainu, that no matter where a person has fallen to, even in the most defiled quagmire of impurity where everything is utterly repugnant with the stench of sin and he can't even find a single point of good, his entire existence is rotten to the core GF and everything is just bleak gloom GF, even from there one must know that there is no existence without GD and he must scream "A-YAY?!" where is he really at?! Where is the GLORY of GD?! (wheels – is similar to A-YUL – which is the ram associated with the awesome quest of A-yeh, and up – is close, especially in Yiddish, to Hope). And by screaming A-yay one transforms his entire reality to be that of the highest revelation of Gd.

Hypocrisy outside from inside

Many are astounded at the sheer ludicrous conduct of the haters of Israel. Like the U.N. deciding that the Western Wall isn't Jewish, their support of an education which is full of hatred and incitement, and putting Suadia Arabia at the head of women's rights!?.

And similarly so many other things, like the leftists strong advocacy for Islam, when according to Islam they would be slaughtered.

How do such crazy policies have any standing whatsoever?!

The answer is that it is empowered by everyone on their own personal paradigm. When people do not live the truth they invite the world to run in a similar hypocritical fashion.

Among many ultra right they sing the final words of Samson - I will avenge my eyes from the Pilishtim/palistinians - with so much fervor and excitement, even as they are falling in the very mistake which was the downfall of Samson - he went after his eyes (as revealed in the Talmud). This highlights the point of this post. The entire fantasy and flimsy imagination of the tv, movies, media is this power which is bringing down Israel, and to combat it Israel needs to get out of its bondage, and strengthen in truth and reality, real reality of Torah. But as long as people are still slaves to the aforementioned fantasies, they empower the world to follow suit on the global level. Even as the people are astounded and amazed at falsehood and hypocrisy, it is being fueled internally by they themselves.

More on the evils of the media - even kosher family rated

Previously on the blog I explained how even kosher educational media entraps a person in the matrix and facade of this world. There is an even more harmful element, the sight of evil. Today no one thinks twice about seeing all the criminals paraded in the news, and all the villains in the movies - who are very craftily made-up to resemble the evil people they are impersonating. However, the Talmud already severely warns against gazing upon the countenance of a wicked person, and this is very readily understood. The Zohar reveals the methods of physiognomy, and even those who have no conception of this science are often intuitive to it, and undoubtedly effected subconsciously, and a person's soul definitely is very in tune, aware, and perceptive of this. A person's eyes are like QR and barcode scanners, and when they see and register a face it causes a strong reaction. Studies have even shown how people tend to subconsciously imitate what they see, and thus older couples begin to resemble each other. Hence it is readily understood the strong negative, injurious, damaging, and harmful impact of the images of the media, even family rated.

The innate prohibitive problem with movies and tv

Much has been said to explain why movies and tv are so detrimental, but even they don't address the main core of the issue, and therefore when it comes to really kosher educational media there are allowances and approval. The truth however is that the very nature of movies is harmful and the quintessential opposite of Torah values.
The Talmud extols Rav, one of the sages, praising him for never ever glancing out of his four cubits, and this virtue is an instruction enumerated and highly encouraged in the classic work Raishis Chuchma and other ethical works. In these holy texts we find a term "chaizoo (the sight) dihigh (of this) almu (world)," the Ramchal in Adir Bamurom goes so far as to say the senses we have are actually inhibitions which block the true senses of our soul! And in one of the greatest revelations of Rabbainu Na Nach Nachma Nachman Me'Uman, the Story of Ancient Times of the Seven Beggars, Rabbainu revealed how the saints completely transcended the sensory faculties of this world. Now even though these are obviously tremendously high levels which at best we can pray for from our very remote vantage point, nevertheless they are the true reality of this world, and even if we do not see ourselves achieving their recognition it is definitely forbidden to give power and strength to the false reality. So as much as we are trapped and enslaved by the facade of this world, and we must contend with it, there is really no excuse to bring upon ourselves extraneous succor to the allusion. Such is the nature of every movie, even a very kosher and educational one, it entraps a person in the facade of the world. For the lessons we learn even with our physical senses are seeking the truth which is really imbued and transpiring, whereas a movie is really intent on the visual scenario which is the antithesis of the reality. So even when there is a good message the loss might far out way the gain.

The direction of the nauseating media

In the first Torah-lesson ‫of Likutay Moharan, Rabbainu reveals how the evil inclination first presents itself as a mitzvah, ‫ and even when not presenting itself as an actual mitzvah, very often the lines are blurred and it is difficult to distinguish between good and bad, and certainly there is plenty of room for a ‫person to justify doing many things he should not. But as the bad develops and begins to show its true colors decision making becomes much easier, just that the temptation is already set in and much harder to break. However as the bad develops still further it becomes really ugly and loses all appeal and allure, and unless a person is already completely addicted Heaven forbid, it will be abhorrent and he will be nauseated by it.

Such is what we are seeing in the media today, and with the movies and television.  Originally there was some appeal to it all, and there was definitely room for a person to allow himself some entertainment by it. Today already it is becoming increasingly nauseating, as the producers introduce more and more of their vile vices and views, and it's just disgusting and sickening to watch. What will probably happen is a very strong bipolar radicalization where there will be an increasing development of extremely kosher shows verses the tasteless faithless repugnant ones.

Pride brings to hom*s*xulity

Rabbainu revealed in Character - The Aleph Bet Book of the Traits (https://www.createspace.com/6062519) that through excessive pride one will be sod*mized like a woman (Humility 2:2), and that through arrogance one comes to hom*s*xual desires (Arrogance 2).

Elsewhere we have already expounded upon this. Recently I've seen people writing about how they were born this way, and they fought it but were completely overwhelmed until the came to the conclusion that this who they are. So here I just want to point out that this is their utter pride and arrogance as if the trial and tests that they were up against were more difficult and challenging than the challenges everyone has - for after all everyone came into the world precisely to take on this exact challenge of s*xual purity, as Rabbainu made this very clear. So everyone undergoes tremendous battles, ups and downs, wins and losses, in this very field, and everyone, according to their pride will G"F be led to think that maybe he/she is different than others, and is entitled to certain things - maybe to watch clean movies - which is an aspect of being raped G"F, for the eyes bring upon the watcher the ravages of the emptiness of the film, and so on and so forth, every person according to their pride and assertion that they are different, place themselves into a position of extreme danger.

New movies of Rabbi Nachman's stories

HH as much as I was excited to see that people are working on bringing Rabbainu's stories to the cinema, I have come to have strong reservations. Besides for the fact that I have heard that Saba said not to make illustrations for the story, how can people who do not fully accept the word of Rabbainu be loyal to even to what should be obvious. Whether it be BRI (breslov research institute) who use Rabbainu as their private puppet to advance their own version of Dov Dov (-children's series) Judaism in financial and social comfort, or people even less affiliated with Rabbainu, like the guy who just put out the move who doesn't even care to go to Uman.
A very glaring and critical example is the characters presented in the kickstarter bid -- they are beardless. Anyone familiar with Rabbainu's teachings would know, that Rabbainu said that 500 years ago even the gentiles all had beards. So where is the veracity of presenting a film of Rabbainu's stories of ANCIENT TIMES with beardless characters?
Rabbainu said that even a tiny deviation from the exact details detracts tremendously from the story, so offering a illustrations and animations for them is a very risky venture -- but to openly not embrace the absolute finality of what is known and presented to us by Rabbi Nachman, is self defeating, misleading, and just another modern day scam.

The Following - based on a fallacious creed exposed by Rabbi Nachman of Breslov!

There is a movie - or TV series - "The Following" (sorry, I see now that it is 3 seasons, and I don't know which season or all of them this is attributed to, maybe someone can help out) which is based on a cult which follows a fallacious creed strikingly similar to what Rabbi Nachman of Breslov - Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman - exposed in his Legendary Stories of Ancient TImes, in the Story of the Prayer Leader, Rabbi Nachman recounted:

"One faction said that the main object is not honor, and they conceived that the main object is murder, for, 'We see that all the things that are found upon the earth – grasses, and all plants and people, and all that is in the whole world – must all ultimately cease to exist. Hence the very goal of all things is to be finished off (i.e. destroyed). Therefore, a murderer who kills and destroys people, is really bringing the world to its purpose.' Therefore they came to the conclusion that the goal is murder. They looked for a person who would be a murderer; an angry person and an extremely vengeful person, for such a person is closest to the purpose (according to their deluded mindset) and he deserves to be king. They went looking for such a person and they heard a shriek. They asked, 'What is this, such a screech?!'
"They replied to them, this shriek is: someone has slaughtered his father and mother.
"They spoke up, 'Where else can one find such a strong hearted and angry murderer, that he should murder his own father and mother? This man here (i.e. the one who killed (his) father and mother) has reached the purpose!' And they were very pleased with him, and they accepted him as (a) king over them. And they sought for themselves a country that causes (i.e. brings about) murder, and they chose a place among mountains where killers abide, and they went there and settled there with their king."

Amazing how in modern times the media really worked at resurrecting this creed...

When HY took the Jews out of Egypt, He could have brought them directly into the Holy Land which neighbors Egypt, directly North - on top of Egypt. Instead He led them on a very circuitous route.

The Torah talks about this and explains, that there was a concern that if the Jews would directly confront and battle the Plishtim who resided in southern Israel, they would retreat to Egypt. That is what is understood from the verse, however a literal reading of the verse gives a different reason, which because it is not readily understood, it is disregarded and explained as above. The verse says that HY did not take them by way of Plishtim BECAUSE it is close - i.e. the verse is not saying that the proximity is a reason for it to have been chosen, but on the contrary, the proximity is the reason that it was rejected as the entry route.

So how is the close proximity the reason to forgo it?!

Every nation has a unique characteristic, the Nations surrounding the Holy Land have very strongly overt evil ones. Whether it is promiscuity, idolatry, lust of food, etc.. These are all very dangerous, but they are also BH far and distant from the Jewish consciousness. The Plishtim however represent a morbid dominance of the empirical even as it is construed by the imagination and deviations of fantasy and conjecture. In Likutay Nanach chapter 370 I bring many cases where we find that the submission of the Plishtim, and escaping their rule, was always brought about only through great mocking and wild antics and shenanigans, and this was the only way to escape the clutches of the dominion of powerful delusions of reality that the Plishtim had.

Today this klipa has taken hold of most of the western wall who are not just enthralled with the sciences and cinema, they are completely enslaved to this venue.

This is the klipa that is so close to us, it is so hard to see past what our physical eyes seem to be seeing - as we are told and led to believe by the scientists and the cinema. The world has such empathy and compassion for this worthy cause of keeping life to the confines of the depressed sentiments of their sensual desires.

Even as the soldiers fight valiantly against the Plishtim, they sing of Samson who took revenge on having been blinded by the Plishtim, and these soldiers lunge forward even more blinded. Samson was blinded by the desire of his eyes, as our Sages revealed that this was his undoing, he went after his eyes, thus falling straight into the hands of the Plishtim. Today all the excited right activists, whether they are fighting in arms or in the media, as they fight outwardly, on the inside, they have already lost and capitulated to the Palestinians. It is almost comical, if it wouldn't be so sad and pathetic.

There's a great more to be said, but if only you would properly contemplate this...

Virtual and augmented reality

With the advent of cameras and movies people got a better idea of what our Sages revealed thousands of years ago (Ethics of Our Fathers) that G-d watches and records everything.

The telephone got people to understand how we can always speak directly to G-d.

Now with virtual and augmented reality and movies like fx, people are beginning to understand the actuality of the Unity of G-d, and this whole world is like a dream (Psalms, song of ascension).
