Visit the Kotel every thirty days via webcam

 HH if a person wasn't by the Western Wall for thirty days they need to do kreya. Can someone find me a halachic opinion that says it is sufficient to see live footage from a camera for the count of thirty?

It might have to work both ways - if it counts as a visit for the thirty days, then it should count to make an obligation to do kreya.

Unless we can say that it can count as an extension of a visit - nice lumdus....

In any event, some people unfortunately don't do kreya even if they haven't been at WW for years. So at the very least they should take upon themselves to check up on the Kotel webcam once a month.

Technology catching up to support the faith

With the advent of the telegraph and telephone, people had a natural belief that they could speak to G-d in Heaven (-even though HY is everywhere, the prayers go to Heaven).

With the advent of cameras and videos, people understood naturally that all their actions are recorded.

Now with the advent of tools that can be operated by the mind alone, people will understand the importance and severity of good and bad thoughts.

Pictures of the early tzadikim

People think that the reason that there are no pictures of the early tzadikim is because there were no cameras back then. Perhaps it is the opposite, the reason that there were no cameras back then was because of the awesome spirituality of the tzadikim.

In the Rabbi Nachman's story of Ancient Times of the Humble King (#6) the wise man was only able to draw the portrait of the king after he fully exposed all the corruption and the filth. So as long as all that pollution was not highlighted it was impossible for him to get a picture of the king.

Virtual and augmented reality

With the advent of cameras and movies people got a better idea of what our Sages revealed thousands of years ago (Ethics of Our Fathers) that G-d watches and records everything.

The telephone got people to understand how we can always speak directly to G-d.

Now with virtual and augmented reality and movies like fx, people are beginning to understand the actuality of the Unity of G-d, and this whole world is like a dream (Psalms, song of ascension).

The Song of Redemption begins to renew the world!
