Humility

HH

The Chok Liyisroel on the Torah portion of Va-yichee, Friday (-available in English at echok.org) in the section of mussar - ethics, brings the most awesome revelation from our Sages. That all the hardships and miseries that Jacob suffered, the rape of his daughter Dina, the kidnapping of his prized son Joseph, and many more, were all brought upon him from HY so that he would not have haughtiness over his brother Esau [who was a serial killer, rapist, extortionist etc. on an altogether different level]! #Mindboggling.

Rabbainu said that he could easily put an end to all the strife against him, but he always has to ascend to higher levels to draw close to HY, and strife elevates a person, and there are certain levels are attainable only through being a victim of strife, may HY save us.

All levels are ultimately evaluated and classified according to the humility therein, because humility is the highest trait, and therefore it is the deciding and overall definer of every level (just like a billionaire isn't called a millionaire, so too every level is defined by its highest value). Rabbainu said that he was the humble one of all the tzadikim. Rabbainu was always seeking to be yet even more humble and more humble, to no end at all, to the Ain Sof (the Infinite One who has no end) blessed He.

Rabbainu said that a tzadik can be so great that he has no one to be embarrassed from, just from HY Himself. A tzadik can revel in his inadequacy before HY.

Nanach On The Torah Portion of Bishalach - references to all the original teachings of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov and his disciples

HH

Bishalach – פרשת בשלח – When <Pharoah> Sent <the Jews>

And it was when Pharaoh sent the nation and (G-d) did not lead etc. and with provisions/arms/one fifth the Children of Israel ascended from the land of Egypt.

Leaving the Haichulay Hatimooroas (Chambers of Exchange) it is necessary to establish the means to receive the light of the risheemoo (notable residue) of the light, and through this it is possible to retain a holy stance

This matter transpires over everyone who desires to draw HY

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Eeshoos (matrimony) 4:12

And Moshe took the bones of Yosef with him.

The main redemption is through the power of the true tzadik

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Redeeming a Firstborn 5:15

________________

Our main endurance is by the power of the tzadikim interred in the earth

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Making Vessels Kosher 4:4

What is this that we did, that we sent Israel from serving us?

After the evil realm capitulated and sent Israel free and vomited from its very core (releasing and contributing to the realm of holiness, it returned and reawakened because it was not nullified completely

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Chol Hamoed (intermediate holidays) 4:3

And the Egyptian chased after them and they reached them etc..

Pharaoh and his army chase after every man who desires to come close to Hashem Yisburach

In such circumstances a person must not look back at the enemy rather he must do what is upon him and scream to Hashem Yisburach

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Sending Away from a Nest 4:5

And they were very frightened, and the Children of Israel screamed to Hashem.

The main thing a person is tested with, is by this that HY first gives him a radiating countenance and then hides His countenance

The main test and aspect of this is in the matter of parnassa (livelihood)

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Collecting Debt from Orphans 5:3

Why do you scream to me?

The splitting of sea was due to their abnegating their views and believing

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Passover 7:19

And Israel saw the great hand which Hashem dealt upon Egypt and the nation were awed by Hashem.

The main thing is fear of Hashem Yisburach and only through this is it possible to recognize Him Blessed He

The plagues and miracles which happened to Egypt were in order that through this they should come to fear Hashem Yisburach, and Israel in fact thereby achieved this

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Firstborn Kosher Animal 4

And they believed in Hashem.

Faith is in the matter that the intellect does not understand, and at every level there is new faith

And they believed in Hashem and in Moshe His servant.

Even after very lofty hasagoas (conceptions) one needs simple wholesome faith

Before one can draw close to holiness he must undergo all types of bitterness (murru), in accordance to the strength of his endurence.

I will hereby rain down for you (plural) bread from the heavens etc..

On account of the dispute of the Children of Israel and on account of their testing Hashem etc..

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Tefillin 6:31

Is Hashem in our midst or not.

Through Amulaik they were aroused to scream and beseech “A-yay <where>,” and therefore Moshe raised his hands, because it is impossible to speak explicitly there only in hints, to search for the glory of Hashem which is found even there

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Collecting Debt from Orphans 3:9

And Amulaik came and fought with Israel in Rifeedeem.

Amulaik causes a person to forget all the goodness that HY did, and gives him to feel as if HY doesn't give him anything and therefore to be derelict in prayer

___________

And it was when Moshe would raise his hand and so Israel prevailed.

Amulaik were heretical in the very essence of G-d and attributed everything to nature, and their subjugation is by with the raising of the 28 bones/components of the hands to the daas (holy realization of knowledge), to know that all is by Hashgacha (Divine Providence)

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Washing Hands in the Morning 2

_______________

Salvation from Amulaik and his seductions is through the gathering by the tzadik and paying attention to the hints he gives

Likutay Halachos, Laws of Washing Hands 6:88

And his hands were (outstretched in) faith until the setting of the sun.

The main faith is to fulfill mitzvos (commandments) with simplicity

Divaikus (binding to HY) is not attainable without practical mitzvos, and doing the mitzvos itself is divaikus

A battle of Hashem with Amulaik from generation to generation.

Blossoms of the Spring - Letter 7

Letter 7

BH 27 Nissan 718 (Thursday 17 April, 1958)

To a delightful man, Mr. Z. Shazar, greatings ("abundant peace").

On chol hamoed (-intermediate days of) Passover I wrote to his honor a receipt for his letter with the check of one hundred liras, and behold it is not possible to describe the great exquisite delight that he caused me to have from this wondrous matter, because I came to extra recognition in the matter of his pleasant, noble soul. I applied my heart, and I learned from this many good lessons of allusions, arousal, and encouragement, which are extremely urgent for the exalted and fundamental matter of drawing close to the light of the daas (realization of knowledge), the new and old, of the true tzadik who is the Rebbe and leader of us and of all the Children of Israel for eternal generations.

And now I am honored with this, to delight his good and expansive soul with good delicacies which I am about to publish ("bring to light") with the help of Hashem Yisburach.

Our teacher, the rav, Rabbi Nussun za.tza.l. once said to his disciples, "I will tell over to you my dream. I saw Ad.m.ur. (Our Master, Leader, and Rebbe), who came to me with one other person, and I told over to him ("before him") complainingly everything that transpired over me, and Ad.m.ur. said to me in these words, 'Dee <you> hust <did> ubber <however> mit <with> diyneh <your> sfurim <books> git gemacht <(you) did good>.' And this one who was with him nodded his head and agreed to this, and he said with these words, 'Yu yu <yes yes>, zayer <very> git <good> gemacht <(you) did>.' And I asked Ad.m.ur., 'Who is this?' And he replied, 'This is Moshe Rabbainu (-Moses) r.i.p.."

Also it is known that Rabbainu Hakadosh (-Our holy Rebbe) rested his hands upon him (-ordained him), and said of him that he (Rabbi Nussun) knows of him (Rabbainu) more than everyone.

In the beginning of Rabbi Nussun's o.b.m. drawing close to him, he (Rabbi Nachman) said then, "There came to me an avraich (-young married man, usually insinuating one engaged in Torah study), and through him there will not be lost even my small talk." And so it was, because just he engaged in publicizing his holy Torah (-teachings) to draw close through this many people to Hashem Yisburach, and through this the Samech Mem (-Satan) stood up against him, and made a controversy upon him through the Rav of Savrun who became his attacker and great hater to (-threaten/harass/endanger) his very life, but in the very end (Proverbs 12:19), "Language of truth is set firm forever," and the storm wind ceases and is lost, and is only great in its hour.

The main protraction of the exile, and the main obstruction of the redemption is just through strife (See Likutay Aitzos, Peace #4), because in every generation there exist people that tunnel (-strive, even in the most underhand way) to distance the heart of the Children of Israel from the true tzadik, and through this were brought about succeedingly all the destructions (-of the Temples), and the entire protraction of the present exile. However, even still (Psalms 92:9), "You are exalted forever Hashem," because also, likewise, there exist in every single generation true tzadikim and kosher (-proper) people who join up to the great chosen (/choice, prized) tzadik and go out joyously to great him, and listen to his counsel, and through this the redemption will come. He who desires to save his soul from the fire of strife, that is, not to take part in strife Heaven forbid, his main salvation is through truth.

In every single generation it is necessary to prowl, and to seek, and to search very very much, with all our strength, with all types of searching, with self sacrifice, for the true tzadik, until we merit to find him, and to draw close to him, and then we will merit to complete faith ("emoonu shlaimu"), through which the redemption will be brought (See Likutay Moharan, Torah 7). Fortunate is he who merits this, fortunate is he who awaits this, fortunate is he who spends all his days yearning, craving, and longing for this.

To be continued soon. Wishes of well-being to him and his household and those associated with him, and with feelings of absolute true love which is not contingent on any temporal matter.
