Just a few and the many

HH

The main thing is just that - to live with simple wholesome faith in Hashem and His True Tzadikim and do the best we can in following their directives. Unfortunately the majority of the world is heathen, a very small percentage monotheistic, a minute percentage believe that the One G-d is who Israel declares One, and an even tinier infinitesimal few follow the True Tzadikim that HY blessed us with to show us the way and Glorify HY. Rabbi Nussun revealed that Amulaik allows for even great erudite holy rabbis to abound to proliferate their remarkable achievements - all so that the people will not discover and connect to the true tzadikim, and then you have people that would rather put their faith in scientists GF.... but B"H in recent times HY allowed Rabbainu his will to reveal the Future Song of Redemption which renews the world with faith - meaning in part that this song reveals and makes ostensible the Divine Providence - one begins to see the Measure for Measure in his own life and all around him, and begins to see that nature is a puppet to Hashem's correspondence with him and all His creation. The sheer magnitude of the power of Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman is unfathomable and we will sing it with the coming of the Messiah, as the whole creation ascends to Crown Hashem Yisburach as the One and Only True God and Existence as He is reflected in all the different myriads of myriads of creations - principally the souls of Israel - and cumulative in the soul of the tzadik. Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman!

Stories of Saba Yisroel and R' Yisroel Karduner as heard from Morris Sasson

HH

Last night by Rachel wife of Rabbi Akiva (or according to many it is just a money scam) we merited to make a huge barbecue - in honor of the hilula of R' Yisroel Karduner (/Czek-happy, Halpern, Breslover) with the Nanach, and Morris recounted many awesome things he heard and saw by Saba Yisroel.

Here I am jotting down from memory as fast as I can, and I do not claim complete accuracy.

Morris n"y who was married to the granddaughter of the Baba Sali, met Saba Yisroel right after Morris had visited a certain false messiah in the U.S.. Saba asked him why he went - and he told Saba that he believes there is a Tzadik Yesod Oalum and he is in search, so Saba asked him why he didn't settle for that fraud or his wife's grandfather, and he told Saba that they are cute and sweet, but he can't seem them as being the Tzaddik, and that they didn't effect any good change in him, and they had similar conversations, with Saba playing "dumb", and Saba also warned Meir Yimini not to let Morris hear from him any derogatory talk about the fraudulent rabbis, lest he get turned off. But eventually Morris did hear from Meir Yimini a very strong epithet against one of them (I think the false messiah...) and Morris was astounded and challenged him, and Meir defended himself saying that Saba himself had said this, so Morris confronted Saba, and Saba asked him where in the world he had heard such a thing, so M. told him that Meir had said it in Saba's name, so Saba said, nu, nu....

Morris said more of his story of how he got close to Saba, but I won't go there now.

Saba said that R' Yisroel Karduner was always praying, even when he was tying his shoes (-This is actually a praise give to Rabbainu, whose lips were always seen moving in prayer, in contradistinction to the Litvaks who would opt to always be saying Torah. Today obviously the highest would be, to be always be singing Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman!).

He recounted the story of how R' Yisroel Karduner's prayers saved the son of Saba's fried who was shot by thieves and the bullet lodged in his brain, and the doctors (in Egypt I think he said they brought him, there were still no real hospitals in Israel then) obviously said there was no hope, and the guy lived for like forty years after, till he died of old age with the bullet in his brain....

Saba's wife got extremely sick (when he was in his early twenties) and she was already put in a ward of those dying, and besides for being very worried about losing her, he was petrified that he would lose R' Yisroel Karduner, who was adamant that one must be married in order to properly serve and be loyal to HY (may He have mercy on me ...), and without Saba's wife he would not be willing to serve HY with him. In any event, R' Yisroel told Saba to come with him to the hospital with a blanket, and he told Saba to wrap her up and hide her and steal her out, and so they spirited her out and away from Satan's death factory, and she recovered completely and lived a long life.

R' Mottelle Slunimer - the Da-yun (Judge) of Tiberius who later became the Admur of Slunim, and who was one of Saba's earlier mentors and supporters, once spoke strongly against R' Yisroel Karduner, and because of this one of his daughters ran away to Russia and married a leading communist, and I think she might have also converted... R' Mottel acknowledged this and had strong regrets - too little too late.

Saba heard the chevra (probably Meir Yimini, Patz, Sharon) talking about a certain false messiah, and he walked in and asked them who they were speaking about, and he told them that he never wants to hear that name - that person is responsible for the murder of 6 million Jews (-because he caused the concealment of Rabbainu).

Saba extolled R' Yisroel Karduner at great length. Morris once told Saba that he (M.) knows a tzaddik that merited to even much more than R' Yisroel Karduner, but couldn't say who, it is a very big secret but he is forbidden to divulge (-imitating what Saba would always tell them - for the sake of fun), so Saba told him, "Nu, I give you permission" so Morris said that it was Saba, who received double - "pey shna'yim" (as explained in Likutay Moharan that a disciple can merit to this), and after a little give and take, Saba admitted that he merited.
Morris told Saba that he has another very big secret, and Saba said, Nu, and Morris told Saba, that all the amazing things that Saba would recount of R' Yisroel Karduner, he was in reality talking of himself....

R' Yisroel Karduner would always tell Saba, wait here for a bit I need to go somewhere- do something - and he would disappear for even an hour or two. Finally Saba decided to see where R' Yisroel went - and he saw that R' Yisroel would be doing hisbodidus...

Morris once made a special unique Talis - ordering the actual cloth from (I forgot- some country in Europe) and the fringes from a different country, and tichailes, and went all out, it took like 8 months to make. And he brought the masterpiece as a gift to Saba, and Saba praised it and put it on, saying that even though he himself was accustomed to a thinner (-I think) Talis, it was really beautiful, and had obvious enjoyment. A few days later Morris discovered Lazer Lawrence (-of all people...) wrapped up praying in the Talis, and he was very upset at him, but Lazer said that Saba had given it to him. So M. confronted Saba, and Saba affirmed that he had given it to Lazer, so Morris asked him how could you... and Saba saw that it was a big thing, so Saba did his best to appease him, and he explained to him how Lazer was always saying how he had nothing etc. etc. and eventually Saba said he would make it up to him, and offered him him one of his bekishes (long jacket) - and Morris said that he had given the talis with no motive of getting anything in return, but Saba said even still, so Morris said that he doesn't wear a bekishe, but he could wear it on Shabbos, and Sabba said yes wear it for Shabbos.

Saba once saw a Sephardic Jew praying (maybe by Rashbi) intently with tears, without any prayerbook, so Saba gave him his own Likutay Tefilos that was a collectors item....

In America Saba told Morris to find a Jew named Berger, no more info, so there were three in the phonebook, Saba went with him to the house, he wasn't home, he was supposed to come in twenty minutes, Saba took him to hide on the side, and told Morris, that when he comes, jump him! Morris said, why not first talk.... Finally a guy came Morris asked him if he was Berger, when he said yes he called Saba out, and M. gripped Bergers hand, and Saba demanded from Berger to give him back the Legendary Tales which had been the personal copy of R' Yisroel Karduner, Berger claimed that he didn't have it anymore. Saba said that if he didn't get back in a few days, Berger and his wife would die before the weeks end. And so Berger and his wife came to Saba and returned the book.

Saba told M. to take the two strong guys with him to the elders of Breslov and beat them until they gave back the manuscripts that they had stolen and kept in their possession. They went, the elders denied having them, and they couldn't bring themselves to beat such old people.

Saba also wanted them to go to Berger and take back all that didn't belong to him. When Berger died a few years ago, he left the books to a library (i think), but the family didn't honor the will, and they held on to the Breslov books (-including Rabbi Naftoli's The Life of Rabbi Nachman), and today they let people see them - but they must swear with the name of G-d that they will not divulge what they see. The Israeli professor Tzvi Marks, might even have copies of the stuff, but since he took the oath he will not share the information.

That's most of what I remember in this sitting.

New movies of Rabbi Nachman's stories

HH as much as I was excited to see that people are working on bringing Rabbainu's stories to the cinema, I have come to have strong reservations. Besides for the fact that I have heard that Saba said not to make illustrations for the story, how can people who do not fully accept the word of Rabbainu be loyal to even to what should be obvious. Whether it be BRI (breslov research institute) who use Rabbainu as their private puppet to advance their own version of Dov Dov (-children's series) Judaism in financial and social comfort, or people even less affiliated with Rabbainu, like the guy who just put out the move who doesn't even care to go to Uman.
A very glaring and critical example is the characters presented in the kickstarter bid -- they are beardless. Anyone familiar with Rabbainu's teachings would know, that Rabbainu said that 500 years ago even the gentiles all had beards. So where is the veracity of presenting a film of Rabbainu's stories of ANCIENT TIMES with beardless characters?
Rabbainu said that even a tiny deviation from the exact details detracts tremendously from the story, so offering a illustrations and animations for them is a very risky venture -- but to openly not embrace the absolute finality of what is known and presented to us by Rabbi Nachman, is self defeating, misleading, and just another modern day scam.

Make {for} Yourself A Rabbi

HH
There is no group which propounds the concept of the tzaddik more than Breslov. Rabbainu revealed that everything but everything is completely contingent on the tzaddik. So it is amazing that in the third Torah of Likutay Moharan, Rabbainu brings the famous dictum from Ethics of Our Fathers which commands, "Make for yourself a rabbi." This dictum is often prominently presented as the absolute proof that it is incumbent to have a rabbi, something that should be very welcome to Breslov, who argue that very point, that everyone must take Rabbainu as their Rebbe, so it is amazing that Rabbainu explains this dictum in the exact opposite, saying that the mishna is saying that, "make yourself a rabbi!" I.e. build your own identity, character, and personality (Malchus). This is a beautiful opening into understanding the true role and concept of the rabbi-tzaddik. Society loves rabbis, because they are part and parcel of the corrupt devolvement of humanity. A community hires a rabbi, offering him a salary, power, and prestige, and in return they are absolved of so much unwanted responsibility, now the rabbi will answer forthem all the questions they don't want to answer, whether it is what job to take, or whether or not to undergo surgery, and so forth. So they feed each other to mutual detriment, the rabbi is a sicko living for artificial honor and money, to cultivate a community in a way that they will never mature properly, and never confront themselves.
The real tzaddik is just the opposite, although he is definitely providing amazing support, he is totally not trying to live and decide the lives of others, on the contrary, he will give them even more responsibility. This what we see here in Torah 3, that the true Tzaddik, doesn't pounce on this dictum to assert and promote his hold over the people, but pushes it on the people to force them to get a grip on their lives and build their own reign. [This is similar to the story Rabbainu told of the guy who dreamed of a treasure buried under a far away bridge, upon going there he found out that it was in his own closet. The tzaddik is the bridge, a person has to come to the tzaddik to find his own self].
The messiah that people are always talking about is societies idea of some super grand contemporary rabbi who will tell them exactly what to do, every single question they have in life, when to get up, how much to sleep, what job to take, who to marry, everything he will answer for them and they will have such a wonderful carefree life of post Messianic era.... Even if the real Messiah would make his grand entrance into the world today the majority of the people would have the messiah relegated to this task GF, so how can he come?! Basically they want to remain immature children without any personality or character. Rabbainu says cone to me and I will give you even more problems and responsibility, and I will show you how to be king. The king is in the field, hisbodidus and music and all the advice and teachings of Na Nach that empower a person to rule for himself over his kingdom. This is in itself redemption, the Messiah will just cement the way.

Float Your Boat

HH

Rabbainu revealed in his Stories of Ancient Times (of the Seven Beggars, the Blind Beggar), that our bodies are like ships which our souls sail (This is in fact a well established allegory, also alluded to in the agadatta of Rabba Bar Bar Chana, of those who go down to the sea, in other words, human souls who board their ships and sail around in this world).

The secret of all the Kabala, the Ramchal revealed, is pinneemiyews (inner) and cheetzoaniyews (outer), these are the aspects (lined up in Likutay Moharan Torah 37) of body and soul, material and form/function, knowledge and ignorance, light and darkness.

Every inner layer is humble and modest in face of the outer layer that clothes it, it hardly shows itself at all. The inner element has great haughtiness the free reign it grants the outer layer which clothes it.

In this world of 6000 years, our bodies have reign, and conduct the main functions of our existence, they host our souls who are like guests. Even in the seventh thousand year, the body will be the main player, but it will be with the full force of the soul. In the eighth thousand year, the soul will be the main player, and the body like a guest etc. as explained at length in the Ramchal's Da'as Tevunos  (76-84, Klalim Rishonim 9). Soon it will be very very apparent how ridiculous all the attention to the body is. The body is of foremost importance as a wick for the flame that is our soul - and the soul of our soul, and the soul of the soul etc., and most be cared for properly, but any attention given to it as a means of its own, working out, and the competitions surrounding the feats of the body, are utterly rediculous and stupid. When HY will allow for the soul to shine forth with, not even in full force, just with much less restraint, the body will be seen as powerless and almost completely inconsequential. It will be impossible to comprehend how one could be so foolish to have pursued any bodily concerns and pleasures whatsoever. There will be great embarrassment.

HY is infinite - Ein Sof (without end - i.e. we don't even call him infinite, because any positive description we have is limited in its definition (as anyone familiar with algebra will know that infinite can be caught in very small fractions), so we describe HY as bereft of any limit, Ramchal), and the way of HY is to hide himself in infinite layers, each one more material than the next, and HY is infinitely hiding in the humility of more and more esoteric existences. This is the way of HY, this is His Glory.

Rabbainu revealed (Likutay Moharan Torah 6) that our role in the month of Ellul is to go in this way of HY. First we must appint the king, and gain complete conviction, we must be strong in our ideals and decisive in what is right and what is wrong. This is our first teshuva. One could easily get stuck here, as many sensationalist do, getting caught up in self-righteousness of all types of worthy causes and campaigns. Kings have great honor. But this honor is so external, it is so full of cracks and disallusion. It is just a shell, and in fact quite puny. So we must not get stuck there, but must look further, to realize that everything that we see, all the Jews and the actions, are all the glory of HY, we gain complete embarrassment from our own course, myopic, mundane understanding of existence -- how we percieved that we were players -- going after such an external approach ignoring the true reality, from this shame, we can drain out our own ego which pumps through our blood, distorting our vision and perception -- we cleanse ourselves of all the constrictions of the cravings and lusting of the seventy nations, and we can proceed to build a holy conception to house Divine Inspiration in ourselves. This Divine Spirit is utter humility which delights and takes pride in allowing it's surroundings to have full expression and atonomy. This is a taste of the future world.
[Notice in the Story of Ancient Times of a Prayer Leader, the Kings men who were finding each other and celebrating with tremendous joy, while those accompanying them had no idea what the joy was about, just like Rabbainu said that two people could be sitting next to each other; one delighting in Gan Eden, and the other completely confounded. It is not enough to get to the tzaddikim physically, as long as someone is attached to a fraudulent leader - i.e. a represntation of a some sort of society and course of life - like those who were accompanying the king's men, they will never figure it out, what it is, the reality. But even still since they stuck to them till the end, they got their tikkun].

When Rabbi Nussun once got an inkling of the enormity of the awsome level Rabbi Nachman was on, he almost went berserk, he shouted, "GEVALD! What is the world thinking?!" He wanted to run into the world and try to knock sense into them to get with the program. Rabbi Nachman had to physically hold him down, and told him to stay put, going out there screaming would not help. If we would have any conception of the real reality staring straight out at us, we would be on fire. We gotto get there, for ourselves and for humanity.

Use the Rabbis for Kapparos

HH

How many times have we heard the ridiculous claim that men shouldn't leave their wives and families to go to Uman for Rosh Hashana. The problem is that our lives have become so mundane and bereft of meaning that Rosh Hashana conjures up just another holiday to be spent with the family, and an extra hour in the synagogue. Once, even the misnagdem had trepidation even by hearing the word elul - the month preceding Rosh Hashana. Such an awesome day when HY is coronated as King (the actual coronation takes place of course in Uman), and everything is judged, every fraction of pain and pleaser, life and death, wealth and poverty etc.. If we had any conception whatsoever how critical a judgment this is, we would be running to Uman to Rabbainu, no quibling...

Now, before Yom Kippur we are strongly recommended to do Kapparos with a chicken as a redemption to our soul, kapparos are even done for the fetus in the mother's stomach -- and since it is unknown if the fetus is male of female, two chickens are used, male and female. So obviously this isn't based solely on the merit of the sins of a person, but on a higher scale of the true standing of one's soul in the general scheme of HY's master plan. This little ceremony has become a mass produced assembly line procedure, so B"H let us thank the fraudulent leaders and other sensationalists for raising our conscious on this issue. Before doing the kapparos think, how is your soul different than a chicken?! Why should the chicken die for your soul?! And immediately realize that the chicken does not and cannot ask this quesion, and that itself is the answer, and proceed to do the kapparos. The chicken was going to die eventually anyway, everything in this world does, it will now miss out on a year of pecking in the dirt, but will have achieved a higher purpose and meaning -- protecting the well-being of a Jewish soul. Both will have now achieved a huge rectification. Balk at going through with the kapparos, and both will G"F be reduced to dirt peckers, and alas the rabbis and social activists will have won the equal rights they are so set upon, while garnishing their new honor and power over their flock.

There is great gravity to our existence, many people in the world suffer enormously HY, and almost everyone suffers to some degree, and there is the future generation, and the future world. There are responsabilities and fatal reckoning. In the drop of a hat - or a dime, one's life can be turned around for the good or the better. Serious stuff.
