9th of Elul - hilula of Dan son of Israel and R' Tzadok Hakohen

HH

It has been said that there is only a fine line between genius and insanity, and perhaps on the same vein we can say that at the zenith of complexity of devotion there is only a fine line of separation to the complete simplicity and wholeheartedness of Breslov. Ishbitz chasidus, started by the May Hasheeloach, is probably the most deep, sophisticated, and profound, and thus we find that R' Tzadok Hakohen, author of Tzidkas Hatzadik and many other holy books, came to favor Rabbainu - at a time when almost all other chasidim were strongly opposed or at the very best ignored - R' Tzadok devoted his efforts to providing correlating sources to the dictums of Rabbainu in his holy book Character - The Aleph Bet Book of the Traits

May his memory be a blessing.

It is interesting to note that in his book Tzidkas Hatzadik, he makes a small prophecy that before the proper time the Jews would once again rally to conquer Israel - even though this is was the sin of the "maapeelim" in the time of Moses, who were all killed out instantly - as the Torah says, and even though there are severe oaths that forbid the Jews from doing this, even still R' Tzadok asserts that the Jews will do it successfully, explaining that at that time there will already be a case for the success of chutzpa! See there, this is beyond amazing, because the entire Satmar movement and those even more radical and zealous are in denial of this phenomenon.

What caused the fires?!

HH

Everything that happens has myriads of reasons, which are not mutually exclusive, on the contrary, each one is a bonafide correct cause for its own level and paradigm. E.g. regarding the holocaust, many people have faulted the assimilation and secularization of the Jews, others are very insistent that it was because of the talking idle chatter in the synagogues, and the Kabalists are certain that it was because the main study of Kabala was very forsaken - each group on their level had their trigger that they fueled and brought upon themselves this calamity. The most inner reason of the Holocaust we know, Saba revealed, was because of the persecution of the Breslover Chasidim in general - but in particular the pain that was caused to R' Yisroel Karduner (-as I've pointed out elsewhere that the Ishbitzer wrote that when Abraham had one thought not to chase after the 4 Kings - from this thought alone were created the 2,400,000 souls that didn't want to leave Egypt and died in the Plague of Darkness - thus we see that one thought of a true tzaddik can cause a real holocaust of millions of people R"L, and here they caused R' Yisroel Karduner - one of the 36 hidden tzaddikim, not one thought but many many many torments, and they tried to kill him, and ripped out part of his beard etc., so we can understand where Saba was coming from).

Similarly with the recent fires in Israel, many are saying that it was to obliterate the money of idolatry (as written in Sefer Hamidos), and many are saying it was because of the mockery of justice in the issue of berland a convicted rapist and extortionist who used his status as a rabbi and cult leader to commit atrocities and was sentenced to a mere few months (as written in Sefer Hamidos, that through laitzunus come fires R"L), and so forth other reasons were given. However the main inner reason seems to be that perhaps there was one or few less recitals of the holy song of redemption which is the name of Rabbainu: Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman! Each and every time one says Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman he/she effects a renewal of the entire world!

Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman!

With the help of G-d blessed be His name, and His true tzadikim, particularly Rabainu Na Nach Nachmu Nachmun MayUman, of blessed memory, I will begin to write some of the truth I merited to percieve. Until I am able to write things in an organized fashion, I will write whatever matters come to mind.
- Someone who is really trying to serve G-d and be a proper person will forsure be under great pressures and stress by the evil inclination, this is cleary stated in the Gemura, that everyday a persons evil inclination overpowers him, and if not for the help of the Holy One B"h, a person would not be able to overcome the onslaught. Rabbi Nachman say that the reason for this is so that the person will be forced to turn to G-d for everything (this is also taught in other holy books, the Ishbitzer (one of the main mentors of Shlomo Carlbach, and Teacher and Master of R' Tzadok Hacohen (who authored notes to Sefer Hamidos)) in May Hasheloach Likutim puts it quite beautifuly, that a person trying to guard the covenant (especially that of his body along with the thoughts attached) will have huge ups and downs, often chancing upon wonderous solutions only to fall again afterwoods etc.. All of this, the Ishbitzer says, is because G-d desires that the person should speak to him, and he will suffer trials and tribulations until he begins this holy practice of constantly speaking and conversing with G-d). Therefor it is obvious that such a person, upon hearing about anything that can help him in his struggle, will not mock it or discount, just like a drowning man will not examine something being extended to him to save him. Only after trying the offered help will any criticism be in order. So all those out there, upon hearing about Na Nach are given an opportunity to pull themselves out of the mess they are in, and their reaction will be based on how much they care about their plight.
