Hashem's great love for us

HH
Anyone that has any conception of the previous tzadikim knows how powerful their minds were - capable of processing and mastering so much every second, and their absolute commitment and unrelenting devotion and adherence every second. Not to mention the depth of their heart, empathy etc. etc.. So when I was thinking about this, my utter deficiency and inadequacy came to the forefront of awareness, but I knew not how in the world I can up my game to remotely resemble what it should be. So how could I continue this way? But how is it, I thought, that despite my terrible shortcomings I still definitely feel HY is helping me and I am making some progress, and then it hit me like a jackpot, it must be that HY really loves me, and is catering to me even as I am the way I am. This is an amazing feeling and realization, we all need it, much much more of it BH.

Shortly after i wrote this i realized that this is very similar to the experience Rabbainu revealed in Likutay Moharan 89, may we merit.

Humility

HH

The Chok Liyisroel on the Torah portion of Va-yichee, Friday (-available in English at echok.org) in the section of mussar - ethics, brings the most awesome revelation from our Sages. That all the hardships and miseries that Jacob suffered, the rape of his daughter Dina, the kidnapping of his prized son Joseph, and many more, were all brought upon him from HY so that he would not have haughtiness over his brother Esau [who was a serial killer, rapist, extortionist etc. on an altogether different level]! #Mindboggling.

Rabbainu said that he could easily put an end to all the strife against him, but he always has to ascend to higher levels to draw close to HY, and strife elevates a person, and there are certain levels are attainable only through being a victim of strife, may HY save us.

All levels are ultimately evaluated and classified according to the humility therein, because humility is the highest trait, and therefore it is the deciding and overall definer of every level (just like a billionaire isn't called a millionaire, so too every level is defined by its highest value). Rabbainu said that he was the humble one of all the tzadikim. Rabbainu was always seeking to be yet even more humble and more humble, to no end at all, to the Ain Sof (the Infinite One who has no end) blessed He.

Rabbainu said that a tzadik can be so great that he has no one to be embarrassed from, just from HY Himself. A tzadik can revel in his inadequacy before HY.

Genius of the Moment

HH

Sometimes genius is the ability to attain perfection, more often it is the ability to see the perfection in the imperfect. That translates sometimes into the simple understanding that sometimes the best option - the perfect solution - is to settle for the imperfect and continue.

Rabbi Nussun was a tremendous genius, but before he met Rabbi Nachman this itself worked against him, all his inadequacies ate at him and destabilized him, to the extent that he lost his drive to really prevail in Torah study.

Rabbainu instilled and imbued in him what an awesome privilege, achievement, and delight even one solitary gleaning of Torah is, and from then on Rabbi Nussun's diligence was set, he returned to studying passionately guarding and taking advantage every second, even on his travels - an extremely taxing affair in those days. He found an attainable perfection in the moment before him.
