Fraudulent Rabbis

HH
First of all that is the way it is. After Rabbi Nachman passed away there was no one who took the role as Rebbe. This was one of the main reasons the opponents based their baseless hatred and hisnagdus on Breslov, saying that one must have a live Rebbe, and they called Breslov - "Toyta chasidim" - "Chasidim of a dead Rebbe" - So the question why it has to be that way is valid, but that it has to be that way is certain, this is what Breslov was about in all the generations, this is why Breslovers were literally hunted down etc. etc. etc. - and the answer to the question can not be to take some half wit or even the smarted capable guy in the world as one's Rebbe - that is not Breslov - that is the antithesis of Breslov. In all the generations of Breslov there were always giants of Torah and Spirit, none of them ever did what the rabbis do today, they shirked away from any honor, power, prestige, anything, e.g. R' Shimshon Barsky a direct descendant of Rabbainu who put together לקוטי עצות and other important Breslov classics, he gave a shiur every midnight, and never ever would associate with those he was helping and teaching and guiding as their rebbe, he was simply like their older brother, he knew more he was more talented and holy so he shared the wealth. Not until recent times, maybe 40-50 years ago, did this disease take hold and begin in Breslov -  Rabbainu had predicted it - it is a documented tradition that Rabbainu said explicitly that even in his matter there would arise fraudulent rabbis - "meforsamim shel sheker", and alas that is exactly what happened - forget about clowns like a**sh and convicted perverts like his rebbe who he still defends etc. - but even in the Nanach there are people that have built up their own rabbanut, where they are called rabbi or rebbe, people kiss their hands, the whole nauseating thing - all the time wearing a Nanach beanie and even singing Nanach and the Petek. This is what Rabbainu foresaw, and there is no refuge from the evil, on the contrary the bigger one is the stronger the evil will rise up with him, as was revealed by Chazal.

Hopefully it is now clear the first premise, that there is absolutely no justification for any figure head rabbis in Breslov, and that Breslov was nearly wiped out completely GF unwilling to deter from this. What remains to explain is only the why it is, and has to be like that, and how to live this way. Even still let it be clear that even though there are no rabbis in breslov - and anyone professing to be such in Breslov is obviously a hypocrite and much worse - there were and are always followers of Rabbainu who were no less in stature than the most leading Rabbis in the outside world - no less holy no less wise, and on the contrary.... - and these followers were always happy to share their blessings with everyone as equals, as explained above, so the truth is that there is no real deficiency, the only thing deficient is the falsehood of hierarchy where one person takes a higher title than the rest.

Now to the crux of the matter. There are a few factors.
One is what Rabbainu revealed in Likutay Moharan volume 2, Torah 80 that today no one is on the level of being a rabbi for the sake of Heaven. Even still, in that Torah Rabbainu seems to say that if the people insist strongly upon taking a person as their rabbi, then he can acquiesce. And this is what many of today's fraudulent rabbis claim, that they do not promote themselves whatsoever, they do not wish this at all that they should be called rabbi and have people kiss up to them etc., they are forced into this against their will..... Go figure, take one look at them, and if you believe their fantasy then you really need help - but there is much more, that was just to get started.

Rabbainu revealed in Likutay Moharan, volume 2, Torah 18, that even a true tzadik does not necessarily know how to give over Torah to others, and thus by their giving over their Torah to others they can be actual murderers, and adulterers, and thieves, and every evil perpetrator GF R"L every single second - so much so that even real murderers and the aforementioned completely pale against them - because a real murderer can only succeed in achieving his fancy once or a few times GF, but these people with their Torah are perpetrating these evils every second!!!!

The story is told of a Jew who entered a Breslov shteibel in Poland and went over to one of the chasidim and told him that he is a Jew who went of the derech and is mechallel Shabbos and now he wishes to repent - a goldmine! Which rabbi wouldn't get excited, another fish! But in the entire shteibel there was not one person who accepted to take this guy under his wing and be his guide, they all told him the same thing - we have no idea who your soul is, where your "place" is (as it says do not judge your friend until you know his place), how can we possible give you the proper guidance you need. What you need to do is start following the holy advice of Rabbainu, you need to start doing hisbodidus every day, you need to start getting up every night for chatzos etc. - because Rabbainu saw every single soul - from the time of Adam till the coming of the Messiah, and every single rectification for every single soul, and he addressed each one personally in the holy books he bequeathed.

Ultimately the main reason why there can not be any rebbe today, in my humble opinion, is because it is the very antithesis of what Rabbainu wants to achieve with us. When a person has a child, he dictates every single move and decision for that baby, and as the baby grows older he begins to make more decisions for himself, and ultimately he takes on responsibilities until he progressed to be completely independent. No one wants a twenty year old son that needs to be treated like a baby. In this same way Rabbainu wants us to grow up - to take responsibility for ourselves - he demanded that each person does hisbodidus and take responsibility for the whole world (-mischayaiv binafshoa kul hamitzius!  - Likutay Moharan Torah 52, and also see Torah 5), and true life always presents huge challenges that are way above our heads - but the answer is not to run to some rabbi - but to run to HY and do hisbodidus and figure out what to do. Rabbainu himself almost never gave direct orders to people: do this or this, he gave aitzoas - advice, and often he expected and desired people to contend with what he told them. When Rabbi Nussun asked Rabbainu whether or not he should become a rav of a city, something he was very well suited for and needed to provide bread for his family, Rabbainu answered definitely, and Rabbi Nussun knowing deep in his heart that this was against everything he had learned from Rabbainu, mustered up mesiras nefesh to ask Rabbainu if this was really true - Rabbi Nussun was often embarrassed and petrified of even opening his mouth and speaking to Rabbainu, and here he challenged him asking him if he had just lied to him!!!! And Rabbainu said yes, that is the truth. And here Rabbi Nussun mamash put his life on the line, and asked Rabbainu if this is the real truth!!!! And then Rabbainu was happy and told him, if you want the real truth, stay far far away from such a thing.... Rabbainu revealed that if not for Rabbi Nussun we would not have left over from Rabbainu even one page of shaimoas (discarded holy  items), and had Rabbi Nussun taken up the job as a Rabbi, he would have been left with precious little time to record a tiny fraction of what he merited, and he wouldn't have been able to go around from town to town sharing Rabbainu, and he wouldn''t have been able to build up Uman, in short the very redemption of Israel was at stake - and Rabbainu knew this, and decided that if Rabbi Nussun did not have the strength of character and conviction to stand up to him and challenge this directive of becoming a Rabbi, then the redemption simply could not be brought through him - HY is great, He will provide redemption a different way - as Abraham had to decide when HY commanded him to sacrifice the only continuation of HY's promise. And similarly Rabbainu told a great follower once that due to this followers tremendous impediments he was exempt and should not come to Rabbainu for Rosh Hashana, and the follower did not come, and then Rabbainu revealed that that was a travesty. And there are more such anecdotes. The point is that only the real true tzadik can take the role of being a rebbe and guiding people, because it is a very very tricky job, and only the real tzadik is capable of doing it, and even the real true tzadik - even Rabbainu expects from us sometimes to challenge him - and if we don't we disappoint him and miss the boat GF.
In Likutay Moharan Tora 3, Rabbainu explains the mishna of make for yourself a rabbi - meaning make yourself your own rabbi!!!! So when people challenge the Breslov tradition with this mishna, first of all we have a rabbi, and tzadikim in their passing are all the more alive, and he is our rabbi, and he is the Rebbe of all of Israel, as he revealing in Torah 111 and elsewhere, end of story. And if we must make decisions and so forth, then we must man up, take responsibility, make our own malchus (kingdom) "make yourself the rebbe" - sure we can and must consult with friends as Rabbainu revealed in Torah 34, but he must not go to some rabbi GF - for in doing so he empowers the exile and banishment of Jews from their settlements (Torah 61) - he subordinates his own true freedom and responsibility enslaving himself and thus invoking this submission and exile on all of Israel GF.
And for this reason Messiah can not come, because the people are just waiting for such a messiah - such a rabbi that will tell them: do this, do this, eat this, take this job, this operation, etc. - they want another rabbi to take away all their own responsibility and growth, to make all their decisions and be their figurehead so that they can be more confident of themselves and their dysfunctional society - where one hand washes the other - the people need someone to make all their tough decisions, and the rabbi needs the honor, money, and power, so he caters to the peoples needs.... and that is exactly what Messiah does not want. Messiah wants to bring us to even higher responsibility -  Rabbainu said that when Messiah comes everyone is going to be doing hisbodidus - real hisbodidus - to take complete charge of their lives. Messiah will give us further direction - but he is not to be another rabbi like those we know of today GF!

Regarding the claim that rabbis are needed in order to explain what Rabbainu wrote – I have already explained fully that this can be done with the help of friends, and no rabbi should ever be consulted for such help. In addition, one should be honest with themselves, that there is plenty of the teachings of Rabbainu that are very very readily understood, and if there are parts that aren't that is how all of learning is for everyone, even the most gifted and learned encounter teachings that they don't understand properly, and Rabbainu already revealed (Words of Rabbi Nachman 76) that a person should not be deterred by the things he doesn't understand when he is learning, he should do his best to understand and move right along as fast as he can, Rabbainu said that when the person will finish the entire book and another, and will then go back and learn them again, he will see that he already understands much of what he had previously given up on. So a person should be strong and resolute to learn directly from the holy books of Rabbainu himself and Rabbi Nussun, who wrote with Ruach Hakodesh (Divine Inspiration) having our very souls in mind, and one should not see the books of contemporary rabbis as books of Breslov, at best maybe maybe (halivaye) they are not injurious and damaging, but they are definitely not to be considered books of Breslov..

Enough said for now.

Following fraudulent rabbis is like ga* marriage GF

HH
Rabbainu revealed in Likutay Moharan Torah 7 that receiving advice from the fraudulent rabbis is like receiving their seed GF, and is an aspect of marriage of the kleepah {husks - evil forces}, perhaps today we would call such marriage - ga* marriage GF, the one sin that Rabbainu said cannot be judged favorably (-there is still ways around that: judging the person favorably, and not judging at all).

May HY give the people the courage to man up and stop empowering the fraudulent rabbis.

Rabbi of Breslov of Manchester comes out openly in favor of the holy Petek

HH
The Gabbai of the holy tomb of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, Yisroel Barzel, just told me that he met R. Elimelech HaCohen Zilbigger the Rabbi of the Breslov of Manchester buying a thick wad of Peteks, and he was a little surprised, and asked himnif he really believed in the holy Petek, and the rabbi emphatically affirmed, and continued to relay various hints in the holy Petek that prove its veracity, like the letters EMESS - truth that are found in the top right corner, and other allusions.
Yisroel Barzel told him that he didn't need any proof, because some ten years ago he asked Rabbainu himself on the holy tomb, and immediately opened up a Torah and put his finger directly on the words, and the writing is the writing of Gd!

Make {for} Yourself A Rabbi

HH
There is no group which propounds the concept of the tzaddik more than Breslov. Rabbainu revealed that everything but everything is completely contingent on the tzaddik. So it is amazing that in the third Torah of Likutay Moharan, Rabbainu brings the famous dictum from Ethics of Our Fathers which commands, "Make for yourself a rabbi." This dictum is often prominently presented as the absolute proof that it is incumbent to have a rabbi, something that should be very welcome to Breslov, who argue that very point, that everyone must take Rabbainu as their Rebbe, so it is amazing that Rabbainu explains this dictum in the exact opposite, saying that the mishna is saying that, "make yourself a rabbi!" I.e. build your own identity, character, and personality (Malchus). This is a beautiful opening into understanding the true role and concept of the rabbi-tzaddik. Society loves rabbis, because they are part and parcel of the corrupt devolvement of humanity. A community hires a rabbi, offering him a salary, power, and prestige, and in return they are absolved of so much unwanted responsibility, now the rabbi will answer forthem all the questions they don't want to answer, whether it is what job to take, or whether or not to undergo surgery, and so forth. So they feed each other to mutual detriment, the rabbi is a sicko living for artificial honor and money, to cultivate a community in a way that they will never mature properly, and never confront themselves.
The real tzaddik is just the opposite, although he is definitely providing amazing support, he is totally not trying to live and decide the lives of others, on the contrary, he will give them even more responsibility. This what we see here in Torah 3, that the true Tzaddik, doesn't pounce on this dictum to assert and promote his hold over the people, but pushes it on the people to force them to get a grip on their lives and build their own reign. [This is similar to the story Rabbainu told of the guy who dreamed of a treasure buried under a far away bridge, upon going there he found out that it was in his own closet. The tzaddik is the bridge, a person has to come to the tzaddik to find his own self].
The messiah that people are always talking about is societies idea of some super grand contemporary rabbi who will tell them exactly what to do, every single question they have in life, when to get up, how much to sleep, what job to take, who to marry, everything he will answer for them and they will have such a wonderful carefree life of post Messianic era.... Even if the real Messiah would make his grand entrance into the world today the majority of the people would have the messiah relegated to this task GF, so how can he come?! Basically they want to remain immature children without any personality or character. Rabbainu says cone to me and I will give you even more problems and responsibility, and I will show you how to be king. The king is in the field, hisbodidus and music and all the advice and teachings of Na Nach that empower a person to rule for himself over his kingdom. This is in itself redemption, the Messiah will just cement the way.

Letter of the Ramchal -- book report

HH

About 15 years ago this book was called something else (Ramchal and his Generation - I think), less organized and presentable, and not available, In order to read it you had to borrow it from someone, and that's what I did (a guy in Lakewood, he died a few years ago). Today B"H the Machon (institution of) Ramchal (located in Har Nof, Jerusalem) publishes "Igros Ramchal" - Letters of Ramchal, and it is very presentable and readily available (although I don't think they are willing yet to make it free on Hebrewbooks, unlike the predecessor of the publication of the Ramchal, Yosef Spinner, who amazingly, may HY bless him, gave all this material for free download!).

Yesterday I finished rereading this amazing book, which is on the top of the most must read books. This book is a source of strength and encouragement to help one through the tribulations of life. Here are some of my thoughts that I quickly jotted down, to ease the rage and to leave some memory of the torrents of passion which coursed through me from this reading.

HH

True genius often has a facade of simplicity. The most complex equations are often just a few characters. Once I saw a little girl swing across monkey bars with such liquid agility that made it look like it was a simple exercise anyone can do with ease. The Ramchal's writings have such a genius and clarity. The Ramchal himself showed how huge problems and contradictions fall away and are clarified with the few precise words that he set down.

Rabbainu Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman reveals in Likutay Moharan that the sicker a person is the greater the doctor he needs, and so too in comprehension and cognizant consciousness, the lower and more murky one's wit, the greater the tzadik he needs to reach true realization of G-d reality. Here to the Ramchal's writings shine out, for even though some of the greatest scholars of his time felt, erroneously, that some of his writings were just drawn from previous works, they failed to grasp the utter genius and power of presentation, which can very well be gauged by the far lower aptitude needed to get a strong comprehension of the matters presented by the Ramchal as opposed to reading the early writings.

A nice analogy to this is the awesome impact of the book "Shumati" - I heard (originally one small volume, which I read, and reread as a very thick volume, and is now 4 very large ones which I have only seen from a distance), this book is very powerful, but it seems that this is only so for some people who are more comfortable with the writings, who find it to be almost worthy of Breslov. Yet your average Jew, who survives from day to day principally on Breslov, does not appreciate Shumati whatsoever.

In hind sight it is certainly a clear travesty that most of the leading Rabbis didn't have enough sense to appreciate these and other points. Even Rabbis that somewhat defended the Ramchal, seem oblivious to the awesome magnitude of genius not to mention Divine Revelation that was at stake.

In the letters exchanged regarding the banning of the Ramchal's writings, a good percentage start with a full paragraph of adulation for the recipient, sometimes much much more, and rabbis excuse themselves due to their great communal responsibilities that keep them tied up, and how busy they are teaching their students. So they are quick to look for anything that passuls (makes no good and forbidden) the Ramchal, and close him off. Even when they see that the leading prosecution against the Ramchal from the city of Vinitzia is fraught with corruption: they present false witnesses and testimony – even presenting it 5 years later, their rabbis are known power mongers and known to be incompetent, and they openly disparage luminaries of the generation. None of this was sufficient for the arbitrating Rabbi's to put even a halt in their mission to scrap the Ramchal. Even more amazing the lies and animosity of these rabbis were readily believed and accepted by other Rabbis throughout Europe. Even R' Yaakov Emden, readily added his name to the trumped up witch hunt crusade.

Almost every great Rabbi that truly wanted HY, and went personally to the Ramchal to see for themselves maybe there was a chance that they could learn the secrets of HY, were rewarded. The Ramchal's father-in-law – R' Dovid Pintchi - the Rabbi of Manitoba, and the Pachad Yizchok, and R' Avi-ad Sar Shalom, all very top Torah scholars went to see the Ramchal, and merited to learn from his. They testified to the veracity of his teachings and his righteousness (even here it is strange that they didn't go to greater means to defend the Ramchal from the hatred and vitriol against him).

In the letters another strong point is brought out, that against the book Shaagas Aryeh which blasphemes against the sanctity and veracity of the Zohar and Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, the Rabbis did very little and barely came out against it.

The Ramchal himself writes that it appears to him that there are no true tzaddikim in his generation.

Also the Ramchal says (Letter 99) that he was sent for by a high (French) noblewoman in Geneva, with great supplication, to authenticate the Kabbala. The Ramchal attests that this lady truthfully was proficient in all the writings of the Arizal, to the extent that he was amazed to hear her.

It is interesting that in the last letter we have from the Ramchal to his students he concludes by warning them not to be lazy and not to succumb to the travail of the times, but to remember that this world is just an antechamber before the palace.

מפרסמים של שקר - Famous Rabbis of Falsehood

HH
The Talmud, tractate Sanhedrin page 26 says that Shivna would give lectures in Torah to crowds of 130,000 whereas the righteous King Chizkiyahu, in whose merit all of Israel - even the very young children - were thoroughly proficient in all of the Torah, had an attendance of only 110,000 to his Torah lectures.

Rabbi Nachman revealed in Likutay Moharan (Torah 61) that on account of giving any recognition to undeserving rabbis, the "writing" of Israel is handed over to the gentiles, and the Jews are banished from their settlements G"F.

So it was that Shivna sent a note to Sancheriv offering him the city of Jerusalem, temple and all. King Chizkiyahu even feared the power of the merit of Shivna, who was such a popular educator of Torah. So G-d had the prophet tell Chizkiyahu not to consider at all the numbers of Shivna, for the evil can never real bond.

The Talmud reveals that in reality this huge Jewish star and hero of the public - Shivna, was a "baal hanu-ah' meaning that he was very into filling himself with pleasures, and or homosexual.

This is something that we find many many times throughout our exile, and only now thanks to our holy master Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman, are the masses becoming knowledgeable and have insight into this issue, and they are learning to distance themselves and utterly not recognize those prestigious personages that attract the fancy of the masses and who are busy destroying Israel, G"F.

This weeks haftora (-actually a few verses after...) -- strong admonishment of the false rabbis who destroy the Jewish people

HH

See the verses yourself from the Prophet Yechezkel chapter 45 (The Haftora is from chapter 44)

Once when I was by the holy tomb of Rabbainu Na Nach Nachma Nachman  MeUman I was reading and learning the prophet Yechezkel and came to the verses which bombast the fake charlatans leaders, and I saw that one such character (some know him as the kangaroo) sat at the end of the very row I was in, sitting between me and the holy tomb. Noting the Divine Providence I raised my voice and faced this goon while I belted out the verses, to my delight the guy picked himself up and left the tomb! A long time after, I met one of the guys followers who told me that the guy didn't want to make a confrontation so he left.

R' Shlomo Carlbach till Nanach

HH

Anyone looking at history, tracing the path of true faith and devotion of the One Merciful G-d, from our Forefathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to Moses and David, to Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, to the Arizal, to the Baal Shem Tov, to Rabbainu Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman and his main disciple R' Nuttun, to R' Moshe Breslevor, to R' Yisroel Karduner, to Saba Yisroel, will seemingly chance upon a period of almost 30 years where R' Shlomo Carlbach pops up and steals the show. Although R' Shlomo attributed his career to Rabbainu and taught and spread many of the ideas of Rabbi Nuttun, he did not fully abnegate himself to Breslov, so it is strange to see him dominate the role of forging a model for true devotion. What I think was going on was what R' Shlomo said of that period, especially of the hippies, it was alot of light without vessels. Where was all this light coming from? People are quick to attribute it to the 6 million and the Jewish settlement of the Holy Land, but that isn't a sufficient source, because HY runs the world with people -- tzaddikim, not just auras and spirits.
If you take a look at what was going on in Breslov in these years you will find the source of this great light. For example reading the diary -- autobiography of R' Shmuel Horowitz - Yimay Shmuel, one sees how much passion and yearning he had for G-d, sometimes lying awake the entire night not able to sleep, just completely burning with yearning for holiness. There were only a few Breslovers around, and they were very limited, but their devotions were super exemplary, they had friendship and love between them almost unparalleled in history. They served G-d from dire poverty and persecution and contempt of  the communities they lived in. All this is just a taste of what it was, and so it should be obvious now that here we have a source of huge holiness and light being brought down into the world. The light wasn't being so much building in their native surroundings, where G-d chose to have them remain in constricting circumstances, so all over the world huge spiritual awakening and revolutions were shining into the populace.
In these years our super tzadik, Saba Yisroel Dov Odesser kept himself very hidden, and there is no doubt that his devotions were flooding the world encouraging spiritual revival.
Those that were completely faithful to Rabbainu guarded themselves from deviating even an iota from the teachings and methodology of Breslov. The tradition had to be 100% pure.
It was in this arena R' Shlomo found himself, and tried to bridge the gap. Although he acknowledged Rabbainu's place at the forefront of all spiritual direction, he did not know how to go all the way with Rabbainu,  so he found place for presenting many different rabbis. In the Stories of Ancient Times which Rabbainu revealed, he revealed a concept of temporary leaders who accepted their terms of leadership to be void upon the appearance of someone more suitable. This is what R' Shlomo said of himself. However, later in Breslov circles, rabbis would spring up announcing themselves as spiritual guides who weren't very interested at all in giving up their little power-centers.
