The Praises of Rabbi Nachman - part 2 - His Voyage to Israel - 33

HH
Shivchay HuRan
Part 2
33.
And after all of this, after he did all the aforementioned devotions with truth and wholeheartedness, and he abounded in fasts and in prayers a very great deal, and in mortifications, and breaking (bodily) desires and vices, and withstood many tests, and all the other aforementioned matters, and he abounded very extremely in hisbodidus - to converse between himself and his Maker -and to express himself in Yiddish (-i.e. his vernacular) etc. as mentioned above, until he merited to a very extremely lofty and supernal level in the utmost of holiness and in the utmost of abnegation and drawing close to Hashem Yisburach, in the level of the greatest of the binay aleyuh (-men of ascent, i.e. who ascend to very high and even Divine paradigms in their devotion to HY). And all of this he merited in his very childhood, because he did not rest at day and did not sleep nor was he passive at night. And he was extremely diligent in his devotion from day to day from the beginning of his childhood and the days of his youth. And he toiled and labored arduously from day to day, until he merited in his very youth to all that was mentioned above, to lofty and awesome holiness and very enormous hasaga (-spiritual conception) etc. in the level of greatest binay aleyuh.

And after he merited to all this, even still he wasn't placated with this, and he did not allow himself to stand. Just, even afterwards, everyday and every hour he longed, and yearned, and pined for Hashem Yisburach as if he did not start yet whatsoever with any devotion in the world. Even after he came from the Land of Israel and merited there to very extremely high and lofty hasaga (-spiritual conception) which is utterly unfathomable, even still from the day that he came from the Land of Israel until the day that he passed away in peace (to) very high above, he always had yearning and longing etc. for Hashem Yisburach as if he still had not started whatsoever.
And to speak of this matter vast folios would not suffice, even what we merited to understand a little of this matter according to what we heard from his holy mouth and we saw with our eyes. Because it was his way every time that he would yearn for Hashem Yisburach, and he was truly lowly in his own eyes, and he had great compassion on himself as if he had still not smelled ever any fragrance of the service of Hashem, and as if he still had not started whatsoever.
And in reality even someone who transgressed the whole entire Torah, Heaven forbid, many, many times, and when this person is aroused in true repentance, at which time (certainly) he certainly has a very broken heart when he looks upon himself where he is in the world, and he has very great compassion on himself with great meekness etc., and there's no need to elaborate on this, on a matter understood of itself, even still, even this compassion and broken heart of the aforementioned baal teshuva (-person repenting), does not reach a thousandth or one ten thousandth of the great compassion and broken heart in great meekness etc. that Rabbainu o.b.m. had, each and every time before he came to some hasaga (-spiritual conception).
And in short, (that) he never rested nor was he still even in the days of his greatness. Even though he had already merited to what he merited, to conception of the Divine, on a very enormous and awesome lofty level, even still he did not suffice himself with this, and he toiled and labored at all times and all hours, and he took upon himself suffering, severe and bitter suffering which are almost unparalleled in this world, and he abounded in many prayers, and pleading, and entreaties, and supplications, and very extremely great and awesome yearning and longing, until he came to a higher hasaga and level. And afterwards, immediately when he merited this hasaga (and) then he was a happy a little. And sometimes we merited to hear from his mouth that he informed us that now he has come to know new things etc. and he was happy then a little. And afterwards, immediately when he merited this, afterwards he began again anew, And he forgot everything that transpired as if he still had not begun at all, and he returned and began anew as if he was starting to go and enter in the holiness of Israel (-a Jew). And sometimes we heard from his holy mouth explicitly that he said in an expression of longing and yearning: "How does one merit to be a Yehoodey (-a Jew)?" And he said this honestly and with great temeemus (-wholeheartedness, sincerity) as if he still did not begin at all. And so it was many times.
And he constantly went and rose from level to level. Even though he merited to extremely lofty and awesome levels high, high above etc., Even still he was never pacified with this at all, and immediately afterwards he would have a broken heart and he had great compassion on himself with great meekness etc. as mentioned above, until he merited to a higher level. And this was his way always until the end.
And many, many times it was his way that he said that now he does not know anything whatsoever, absolutely nothing. And sometimes he swore on this, that he truthfully knows nothing at all (see The Life of Our Leader Rabbi Nachman 215), even though on the previous day or the previous hour he revealed formidable ("ateekim" also connotes very well established in time (like 'antique'), principle, and esoteric) concepts, even still afterwards he said that he does not no anything. And in this matter he was a very extremely great novelty. And he said explicitly of himself that his Torah is a very great novelty, however, his "not knowing" is a phenomenally greater novelty. I.e. the aforementioned matter, that every time it was his way to say that now he does know at all, and see more about this elsewhere (see the next article #35, and see Words of Rabbi Nachman 3 - about the tachlis (ultimate extent or purpose) of knowledge is not knowing. And see The Life of Our Leader Rabbi Nachman 215 and 283).

Keeboots - assembly

HH
In Israel the a collective settlement is called a kibbutz. They took this name from the Breslov phenomenon of the chasidim getting together.

Rabbainu revealed that when Jews gather together, especially in prayer, their power is multiplied exponentially, every additional soul multiplying the configuration by the number present. 1 = 1, 2 = 2, 3 = 6, 4 = 24, 5 = 120, 6 = 720 etc..
So the main kibbutz is obviously the kibbutz of Rabbainu, but there are two main lower levels. There is the general population of the Jews in the world - "one nation in the world" - which is an aspect of a kibbutz, in the arena of the globe. And then there is the aspect of the kibbutz of all the Jews in Israel. Here too every additional soul multiplies the power of the group exponentially. Therefore there is no imperative need for a majority or anything near that, in order for the power of good to reign supreme. Just a few more souls, can already increase the collective power astronomically. And those that allay their fears of the growing influence of Judaism by their sheer population growth giving tens of years until it reaches a critical mass, are in for a big surprise BH.

Cameron Diaz and Husband Benji Madden getting a taste of Nanach

HH

This is how it went down. Our Nanach friend in L.A. - Eliyahu Silwan n"y was experiencing great doubts whether he should continue doing his outreach even to gentiles and all the stars. So one night in his yard he was contemplating the issue, doing hisbodidus, and he turned and said to HY, if I should continue, then send me someone really big tomorrow. The next morning he recieved a phone call from Cameron Diaz asking for an appointment.... So Cameron and her huband Benji Madden came by to speak with Eliyahu Nanach. Eliyahu takes alook at Benji -- who's arms are covered with tatoos of the cross and the like, and tells him that he is a Jew, and that he should confront his mother relentlessly until she admits. And so he did, his mother firmly insisted persistently she wasn't Jewish (where he got the name Benjamin Levi, I don't know), but at the very end she capitulated and confessed, but told him to keep it quiet. So Cameron Diaz began wearing the Nanach kameya, and Benji Madden and his twin brother Joel become regular Shabbos guests by Eliyahu Nanach.

Reb Yid - Reb Nanach

HH

Rashi says (Devorim 2:17) that HY spoke to Moshe Rabbainu only in the merit of Israel. One of the most frequent words in the Torah is VaYidaber, and he spoke. Every letter in the Torah is divine, so these letters must be very special. The letters can be rearranged to Reb Yid! They can also be spell Rebbe  Vuv Dalet, the letters vuv and dalet together equal 10, an allusion to the Rebbe who revealed his name in the ten types of song: Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman. Vuv and Dalet = RaNU - to sing, with the acronym Rabbi Nachman (vuv is a conjugation).

Free High Spirit of the Simple Jew

HH

Today in the news, it was revealed that one of the holy founding fathers of America, his honor and grace... Thomas Jefferson, had slept with his slave, and had at least one child from her. No surprises here, but even still it drove home strongly how fortunate we Jews are to have the holy true tzaddikim, and the holy Torah, and the holy very simple and wholesome Jewish lifestyle. How we must revel in the fortune we were born into, and guard our faith and lifestyle with Na Nach Nachma Nachman MeUman!

Women Contested

HH

The Netziv's (Founder and Rosh Yeshiva of the Volozhin, the first modern Yeshiva) wife was very learned and extremely proficient in Tanach (written Torah). Once she heard a simple uneducated man saying the blessing “that He did not make me a woman” with extreme fervor. She was aghast. What was this man so excited about, she herself knew more than this man knew. She confronted her husband who pacified her by saying that every male makes the blessing in relation to the females that correlate to him. The question is whether this is a true answer or just a placation. For the simple meaning of this prayer is that the male has the full 613 commandments and is the main player in the Supernal image.

In the Yeshiva world the story is told that a Yeshiva Bochur took out a BJJ (Beis Yakov of Yerushalayim) girl out on a date – to the lobby of a hotel (terrible custom of the litvaks), upon seeing the boozing of some of the clientele the boy exclaimed, B”H that He didn't make me a gentile. The girl spoke up and said, that Rebetzin Davis (the infamous head mistress of BJJ) had taught them, that when they make the daily morning blessing, “that He has not made me a gentile”, they should not think of a fall out or an ordinary gentile, but even the president, for it is such a blessing to be Jew. So the Yeshiva boy replied, that when he makes his daily morning blessing, “that He has not made me a woman”, he doesn't simply refer to any woman, but even Rebetzin Davis.
So the question is whether this goes against the above placation the Netziv gave his wife, or maybe Rebetzin Davis really isn't on par even with a Yeshiva Bochur.
All of this should be taken with good humor, I mean no respect to any gentile or woman, certainly not those that are better than I....

According to the Kabbala in the future the woman's status is higher than the man's, the woman will be the true “Woman of Valor” of which the verse (Proverbs) says, “A woman of valor is the crown of her husband”, the crown being higher. The Ramchal explains this quite beautifully but it is difficult for me to bring his words here. If this is the case how can it be that the woman has less commandments, which are seeming indications of higher responsibility?

Today it occurred to me that maybe this is an aspect of what the Ramchal revealed that originally Adam had only one commandment, and when he didn't keep it, there where additional commandments – the 7 mitzvos of the Ben Noach, and when Noach took drugs and all in all did not bring the desired rectification to the world, Hashem indoctrinated the requirement of the 613 mitzvos. Rabbi Nachman also points out that it was only due to transgressions that there was a proliferation of instructions (See Tractate Nedarim 22b, The Life Of Rabbi Nachman item #202 - His trip to Israel item #18).

From here it is possible to say, that in the end of time when all the sins and shortcomings of man will be rectified, the woman's fewer obligations will no longer be a sign of less responsibility, but a sign of superior connection to HY.

Keep in mind that Rabbi Nachman revealed that prayer – which is the aspect of the female – is much more important than learning Torah – the aspect of the male. Rabbi Nachman was ushering in the future time.

מבקשים אהבה? -- Looking for some Love?

ב"ה

The Zohar says that when you say the blessing on Shema: "who chooses his people Israel with love" one arouses such enormous love and passion by HY stronger than death...

This blew my mind B"H, got a sensation that I really did not want to make the smallest notion not desired by HY...

HH the Torah is black fire written on white fire. This world as well is a burning conflagration of white fire and all the Jews traversing it are letters of black fire! Fortunate is he who merits to bask is the Divine emanation of the Techailis which glows and radiates in the yeshiva of Na Nach Nachma Nachma Nachman Me'Uman!
