is the acronym of
אמן כן יהי רצון

The month of May usually coincides with the Hebrew month of אייר, which people say is alluded to in the acronym אני י' רפאך  (Rabbainu himself offers a different acronym for אייר (with two yuds) - from the Megalleh Amukos).
Thus we see how the English name of the month of May is true to its namesake - Amen - MAY it be the Divine will.
